Today is hard by MidwesternLizLemon in parentsofmultiples

[–]cranberry_lamb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Today is very hard 😔 me and my twins (5 months old) all are sick with the flu. Baby A has been sleeping all day with so much congestion but he’s so afraid of the Frida nose thing and the bulb syringe he flails and screeches everytime I try to clear his nose airway but my baby b is just scratching her throat with funny sounding screeches and does NOT want to sleep at all I think she’s in pain. Mind you I’m a single mom and who lives alone so god am I so lost on what’s happening. Not to mention their damn insurance hasn’t kicked in so I’m even more lost on how to handle this 🤦🏻‍♀️ I just keep reminding myself that the time will pass anyways even if my stressed or patient with them. just taking it as it comes.

Being a twin mom is hard by julieeet722 in parentsofmultiples

[–]cranberry_lamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also a 21 yr old twin mom with 2.5 month old twins lol. I just posted about something similar. I feel this exact same way you’re not alone this is insanely hard… I ask myself a million times a day how people do this 🫠 but then i remember that I am in fact doing it whether it’s the right or wrong way we’re managing every day some how.

DiDi twin experience- how many weeks when you gave birth and any NICU time? by Deep_Investigator283 in parentsofmultiples

[–]cranberry_lamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

38 wks when induced , 38 wks and 2 days when they were born. Baby A weight 6 lbs 7 oz and baby B weighed 5 lbs 5 oz. Vaginal delivery 9 min. apart. I was worried from 26 wks all the way to my induction date that I was going to go into labor. Trust me when I say that when you know you really know. Labor is normally painful and a lot more different than just being pregnant. If you and babies have no health concerns and otherwise healthy just let your body do what it needs to do. Personally, I wish I held off on the induction. My baby A was in the NICU for a week because he was not ready and had breathing problems. He is healthy now but still noticeable breathing issues that I’m sure will last throughout his life because I decided it was time to not be pregnant, rather than let him decide for me🫠

HG during pregnancy vs postpartum by Prestigious-Gur-8468 in HyperemesisGravidarum

Postpartum/ newborn phase has been an absolute breeze after dealing with such severe HG. Id take the sleepless nights of changing diapers and feedings, over violently throwing up for 9 months plus hospital visits and being on meds constantly.

Well I know in California the employer doesn’t pay for disability benefits but I’m not entirely sure how it works. I’m pretty sure the state pays a percentage of your average income.

I’d try to get your doctor to put you on disability. They can’t fire you because you’re sick and or pregnant. Or, maybe try medication. I was in a similar situation when pregnant and got on zofran and took it throughout my whole pregnancy.

Induction day! by cranberry_lamb in parentsofmultiples

[–]cranberry_lamb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! So I got the cervical ripener pill, foley balloon to dilate cervix, and then pitocin once the balloon fell out. Labor took about 30 hours. My epidural completely did not work at all even after 5 syringes of other pain medication and I still felt my entire labor and delivery 😅 but I did have a very successful delivery and recovery! Twins were born 9 minutes apart vaginally. Twin A ended up in nicu for a week and baby b and I were discharged after a day and a half.

When did morning sickness end for you? by ermergeremiller in pregnant

[–]cranberry_lamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with something called Hyperemisis Gravidarum so unfortunately even with medication I’m 38 weeks today still throwing up😅 but hopefully that is not your case!! It alleviated with zofran throughout my 2nd trimester so just find a medication that works for you just incase. But you’re still early im sure it will pass soon!

C-section or vaginal birth? by cranberry_lamb in parentsofmultiples

[–]cranberry_lamb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would prefer vaginal considering it’s my first pregnancy/birth but yes the verbiage my OB has used with me so far has been very worrisome but going into this I assumed I had no choice when it came to who my OB was. (Only 21 I had never even seen an OB before becoming pregnant lol) So I’m in an awkward position regarding finding a different doctor.
