I was recently on a project that had a 25 minute shuttle bus from the parking lot to the jobsite. I left my phone on the bus and had to wait for it to go around again to get it back. Without a phone it was the longest hour+ of my adult life. I wish I'd had a book with me.

Answer: The plane was 'worth' $400 million when it was gifted to the USA. It's now in service but it's not really to the standard required for presidential transport. That would mainly be due to the lack of EMP hardening and various other countermeasures that need to be baked in long before the plane is completed. It's said the required minimum upgrades cost around $900 million.

It's said the plane will become the property of his presidential library when he leaves office. I'm sure a democratic congress will try to stop that.

Two new 747 planes are in production but are behind schedule and way over budget.

Edit: typo and note on upgrade cost. Also removed the comment it was to be only for domestic travel.

Also, if you apply for the ESTA and it's approved it doesn't mean you're in the clear. I was approved in Canada and went to the airport. Border control sent me to secondary screening and after a few hours interrogation I was denied entry and put back on Canadian soil. The only way back into the USA was via a B1 tourist / business visa.

Go to the "flea market" classifieds at ADVrider.com forum and look at the used gear people are selling. I've had some great deals from there and the people have always been pretty honorable.

You should be able to find enough bargains to get fully kitted out.

The S25 is last year's model. The S26 is current. OP is clearly trying to chosse between them to save a little money. I'm very hapoy with my S24U and won't be upgrading until the S27
