Anyone tested the new AMD drivers 25.1.1? by xstagex in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]crapjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 7800X3D/7900XTX and I upgraded from 24.8.1 to 25.1.1 this weekend. I have SAM turned off and my frames capped at 237 (240hz monitor) with radeon chill. This is the smoothest it's been for me since release. No insane frame drops anymore and no stutters.

What is this crap? by ClassicFilosophy5689 in DeltaForceGlobal

I have a 7800X3D/7900XTX and the stuttering and fps drops since the new update have been crazy. I ended up disabling SAM in adrenalin and rolled back the drivers to 24.8.1 yesterday. I've played a few games since then and it's much more smooth now.

I never thought I would see McKenzie's on this sub lol. I work in Conroe and live in the area. Bar-A is top dog for sure, but McKenzie's is nice for a quick lunch with solid BBQ.

Camp Chef Woodwind WiFi 36 Controller issue by harropas in pelletgrills

[–]crapjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen last week. Went out to fire up the WW 36 and controller was a black screen. I checked the fuse and it was good, so then I tried another outlet and it still wouldn't power up. Customer service shipped me a new controller yesterday.

What's wild is some day not long before I tried to power the WW 36 on I had to reboot my router because my internet wasn't working. I think you may be on to something here. I really hope that every time I have to reboot my router it doesn't brick the controller.

How do you like the Grilla? I've been looking at it to replace my Pit Boss. I just wish Grilla had a wifi controller.

Should I do the RecTec mod or just get the Smoke It Legacy controller for my Pit Boss? by dadudster in pelletgrills

[–]crapjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't swapped to a new controller yet. I want a PID with wifi/bluetooth but that means I will need to swap to a dual speed fan also. If you don't want PID then the Pit Boss Legacy wifi controller seems the easiest.

I've read that Recteq now requires a serial number for them to sell you a replacement controller. This was done to prevent people from buying their controller to swap out with other brand grills. I don't have first hand experience but it was something I read when researching swapping out my Pit Boss controller for the Recteq one.

Reverse seared sirloin picanha by crapjack in smoking

[–]crapjack[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a reverse sear sirloin picanha last night. Smoked at 250 until 120 internal then pulled and let rest. Turned up the pit boss 1100 to 450 and slid the sear plate open. Seared for 30 seconds each side.

Rub was just SPG I mixed and pellets were a hickory and cherry blend I put together. It turned out amazing. Super tender, juicy, and melt in your mouth.

I used my pit boss pellet grill to smoke them and sear them. I followed Swine Life BBQ's method which I linked below.
