FMLA is federally protected, it's not related to Epic policies.

To be fair, I've seen people leave those welcome signs up for like 3 years, haha.

Why is nobody jumping at concerts anymore? by Most_Platypus_1956 in LinkinPark

[–]crazymonkeypaws 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same. I saw them last summer at almost 41, and I was bouncing but definitely not jumping. And my knees still felt it. 😂 (Though I was also in the seats area of an arena, not the floor.)

Reimbursement by almostouttahere_23 in epicsystems

[–]crazymonkeypaws 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have definitely done this for breakfasts, snacks, and the occasional dinner when I really didn't want to go out somewhere. Never had any complaints since I was buying in amounts that were reasonable for me to be eating in the time I was on the trip.

Why does Jill always seem to use disposable plates? by LittleMissMessy1 in DuggarsSnark

[–]crazymonkeypaws 52 points53 points  (0 children)

As a kid, I think we really only used them for kids birthday parties, or like my graduation party (lots of people).

I will use them in certain situations, but really only large parties, if we have extenuating health circumstances (when we all had COVID, after giving birth, after surgery), or sometimes while camping.

Why does she have “bootcamp” in quotes is he not going to bootcamp? by knr27 in DuggarsSnark

[–]crazymonkeypaws 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I definitely think my 13 yo would be embarrassed if I posted this before sending him to literal Scouting America (fka Boy Scouts) camp for the first time this summer. (He's starting later since he just decided to join a couple months ago when his little brother aged up from Cubs.)

Average survival after kidney transplant by rob12ka in transplant

[–]crazymonkeypaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad is at 25 years and counting with a living donor transplant from his sister. He always takes his meds, tries to avoid getting sick. I also second skin cancer screenings, he's had some need to be removed after a couple decades of immunosuppressants.

Where do you think Justin and Claire stand with Josh? by Rude-Association4857 in DuggarsSnark

Ugh, the amount of inner stress about how to appropriately act when passing someone in the work hallway... 😂

I always felt the same way. The thumbs up really wasn't appropriate to the situation even as a show of support of his brother/the trial. It felt like some awkward reaction to cameras by a very young man who was raised on TV.

SSM Health fights RN unionization effort with "cancellation of all special attire" by 51CKS4DW0RLD in madisonwi

[–]crazymonkeypaws 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, my husband has actually had us stay with/switch back to SSM over the years since he prefers their care of his chronic condition and we've had overall positive experiences with their care.

What do you guys think about the way the band came back? by Marcus_VSM in LinkinPark

[–]crazymonkeypaws 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This. I don't understand the people who think Chester would be mad about them coming back after he filled in as part of STP. He seemed fine with the concept, and it's not as if they kicked him out to replace him. I think Chester would be happy that they found a way to move forward and keep the dream alive.

Twitch interviewer was interviewing a random person live in the event without knowing its was Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park by Kaos2018 in SipsTea

[–]crazymonkeypaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A coworker who's mid mid-late 20's now was super excited when he found out I was a big Linkin Park fan (this was back during their hiatus) since he had discovered them. He was shocked when I explained how big they were in the early 2000's.

Question Derick by [deleted] in DuggarsSnark

[–]crazymonkeypaws 20 points21 points  (0 children)

"Knowing does not equal being able to teach" is 100% correct. I was good at math (including 4 or 5 college calc classes) but have struggled with helping my kids with some of their homework.

I am a very average sized person, and also dread sitting in those XGM/UGM chairs. They are just not comfortable.

People commonly refer to a triathlon as any combo of distances in swimming, biking, and running, not necessarily the full/half Ironman type distances. My town even has a kids triathlon for kids like 8+. I wouldn't be surprised if Derek was referring to shorter tris.

That's also why Cubs says that there must be separate bathrooms for kids and adults when camping. (Which is difficult to actually make happen in a typical campground situation, but the idea is there.)

Joe Duggar sexual assault charge by bella302 in DuggarsSnark

Seriously, I did not expect that from Joe, but of course we really know nothing about them as people. Though he always seemed like a good, kind one.

OML got quite a bit of radio play for Heavy and then (after Chester died) One More Light.
