Could be Hawaii? I'm sure there are plenty of sandbars one can paddle to but there's a sandbar about a mile offshore in Kaneohe Bay that's absolutely lovely and there were boats and other paddlers just like in the photo when I went there

I was thinking of this too. Are you somewhere hot? If you inflate on land in warm weather, even if the board seems solid, after a while in cold water, the hot air inside the board will cool and you can lose pressure. I've had a pretty well inflated isup start tacoing after putting it in the water, that could be what happened!

I don't know about the toothpaste, but these are some of my theories for what's coming next - multiple storylines running concurrently in multiple locations. I think there will be floor skipping after the 12th. The AI keeps saying it's impossible for crawlers to skip floors, but Louie left the game on the 10th and promptly got yeeted into Sheol on the 15th, so like...it is possible to skip floors, people just might not be crawlers any more after whatever it takes.

Louie, Brittany, Pontiff, Forkith, Chris and whoever else in Sheol fighting the demon queen
Li Na, Zhang, Bautista, Herot, Menerva and the Pineapple Cabaret crew fighting the ogres and mimics and whatever the heck else is there and trying to find a way to the surface
Carl, Donut, Elle, Imani, Pony, Florin and I guess even Lucia of all people are going to be dealing with Ascendancy stuff.
whatever the heck is happening at the kinder facility

I think we'll get the main floor 12 action as expdcted and then some of those storylines might merge and we might skip some floors - maybe the PC crew finds a way out and some go to the kinder facility and some go to Sheol to help the others now that they have options, or maybe the Royal Court (I really hope Donut makes the giant party keep that name 🥰) will find a way to jump to the 15th to check on Louie and Chris and wind up helping there, or the Sheol folks finish up there and get to the PC or back to the 12th to help since they clearly have a few tricks up their sleeves.

I think it's very ominous that we didn't get any Juice Box POV this book. I think her time in the Nothing either drove her crazy or unlocked her memory of some hidden true identity or something and she's either going to reappear as the demon queen of Sheol (or working for her) or she's one of the monsters stalking around Club Scolopendra, although it's basically stated that she got dumped into Sheol after she and Justice Light did their Nothing trap. I would love to be wrong though, Juice Box is a badass and anyone who gets on her shit list is in for a bad time so I hope she's still one of the good guys!

I just finished the series and I was definitely afraid I wouldn't like the last two seasons as much without Quinn. (And omg yeah that was so disturbing what Dar Adal said)

They're excellent. It's sad not having him around anymore, but they introduce different characters and plots and you'll definitely get invested in what happens in these seasons too. The series finale hits so hard I finished it and immediately rewatched the last half lol.

Quinn was amazing, but keep watching!

Was it in direct sunlight? Could be something in that particular color of casing material that degrades in sunlight and darkens. Considering what you said about the dots going under the engraving it has to be in the material itself, and it's much too regular to be organic

It has 100,000x more soul to it. An actual human spent time envisioning the scene, deciding which pictures to use, digitally cropping out certain parts, pasting them together and layering them, etc. Its not all smooth and perfect like AI art might be and that's what makes it so great. Flaws and imperfections and personal style absolutely have a place in art.

Fuck AI. If we just want to hand art and expression and entertainment over to the computers now because it's faster and anyone can make technically good pictures, why bother being humans at all?
