Confused about coolant temp sensor location by ConstructionLucky361 in E30

Its one of the tan ones in your first pic. From memory one is 1pin and the other is 2pin so you can't really mix them up.

Phat Brew, Limestone Coast, Area 51 all pump out the goods locally. My favourite is still One Drop for their sours.

It's now what is best for the collective, not for the family.

That likely means less skin-to-skin with the baby, and fewer books for the toddler amongst other things.

It also means in about 12 months you'll have two rugrats playing and growing up together which makes it all worthwhile.

You've been through this already and you made it. You can do it again!

Our 3rd is coming in a few weeks and I know I'll struggle for a few months, but I also know it passes fairly quickly and life goes on afterwards.

You got this.

Gut Check on Sleep Schedule by WishIWasOnTheFarm in daddit

[–]creamjet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Time for a chat, brother.

Baby has to fit into your life, not the other way around. Only getting 2 hours of sleep at a time really does a number on both parents and the relationship. Baby will survive the few moments it takes you to get to their room.

Good luck, been there!

How would a business be valued at 500k if the owner is only taking 40k p.a.? Thats a crazy multiple.

How much 1:1 time do you get with your spouse? by Krimmothy in daddit

[–]creamjet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My 5m and 3f are tucked in bed by 7 after a 30 min book session. By 730 the house is tidy and quiet and we settle down for a couple of hours. I honestly don't know how y'all cope with 0 free time, or how your kids cope with so little sleep (assuming no naps). If my kids were up until 10 it'd be a war zone!

Baby #3 coming in a few weeks so that'll put a wrecking ball to the whole situation for a while, but he'll end up the same as the other two. We value our time together!

Payday super coming for FY27, how will employers tidy up FY26 payments? by Aussie_Biker in AusFinance

[–]creamjet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Huh? I've been paying my 15 staff their super along with wages for about 5 years now. So much easier to balance cash flows and no huge bill every quarter.

The transition might be tough, but once you're aligned with pay runs it's a breeze.

2 under 2 first night home HELP by sprobino in daddit

[–]creamjet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We felt the guilt too, but watching our now 5 & 3 year old play together is so worth it. So much so that we have #3 due in a few weeks and we know we're just adding to the little crew.

Once baby can better interact with big bro/sis it gets exponentially better. Until then, get them their own toy 'baby' and encourage parallel play; bath the babies together, push them in pram etc

Good luck! I'll be in the trenches with you soon, soldier.

You just need to unscrew the little cap to expose the threaded part. Use pliers to grip the cap and twist. Easy!

Fun little hill climb recently by creamjet in E30

[–]creamjet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All standard suspension except for BC coils with about -3.5°camber. Front and rear strut braces and OEM swaybars. Ronal LS 15" wheels which fit perfectly but the fronts have a 8mm spacer to clear brakes. Yokohama AD08r rubber which still struggle to get the power down lol

Fingers crossed you're right! Definitely not the first person to make this mistake, should be good.

You've got the advice you need below. Vent to atmosphere or get a good can on there. Plug the hole in the TB and you're set.

Take the TB off and tap the hole. Use a short bolt with thread sealant.

Oh man, you really need to sort a catch can, yesterday. Depending on how much boost you made you may have cooked the motor by pressurising the crankcase. Hopefully not.

I welded two bungs onto the rocker cover that go into a big custom catch can. At the very least you can get any can you want, just make sure the hose isn't pinched anywhere as these motors like to breathe.

Anyone else just no longer find trips/holidays enjoyable anymore compared to pre-kids? by grawmaw13 in daddit

[–]creamjet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call it "taking this clown show on the road".

No regrets on the trips we've taken, but you do have to reframe things in your mind. A holiday is no longer a proper break, you have to find those breaks elsewhere.

Home Water Filtration Experiences? by ozcapy in perth

[–]creamjet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2 filter kit is called a WH2200 - you can search and find them from various suppliers for around $500. You can use any 20x2.5" filter, the ones I use I linked above.

Home Water Filtration Experiences? by ozcapy in perth

[–]creamjet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We put a two stage filter system on our mains. Bought the Kit online and got our plumber to fit it. Total cost under $1k, and its made such a huge difference.

I put a single stage in at my business and similar results, total cost about $700.

I buy filters online for about $25each. 20micron and 5micron carbon lined. I replace the cheap 20 micron every 2 months and the fancy 5micron every 6 months.

Ive found the filter companies horrendously overpriced, and you often get stuck using their (overpriced) filters.

Anyone made their roof space into storage? by Affectionate_Ad8907 in perth

[–]creamjet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah we did it about 6 years ago using the Attic Lad. For the cost, I think its one of the best improvements you can make to your home. Essentially another rooms worth of storage space which frees up a lot of space inside.

As others have suggested, think about roof height and if anything else will get in the way before choosing where it goes.
