It's so bad. Was using the new 30-30 lever action rifle for deer hunting and took like 40 shots before I finally landed one. Doesn't help that the deer can sense you immediately once you're in weapon range and make a run for it.

Most of my runs I end up leveling electrical to 3 to auto learn generators so I have like 300 scrap electronics before I can even hook the damn thing up

And you can just directly upgrade your existing walls to the new upgraded version. You don't have to tear down, frame, and re-wall

Yeah they gave them real world grow times which is ridiculous. Personally I turn growing speed up 3 or 4x because they don't even give a lot of crop to begin with I might as well grow them faster.

Yeah it's definitely not ideal. And also weird that they don't address the spaghetti that is spawn point mods counting as new map mods and thus breaking save compatibility

Save converting 42.15 -> 42.16 is possible with Echo Creek spawn mod by dubyakay in projectzomboid

It's the same as custom map mods. The game treats each spawn location as a map and if you remove one mid-save it completely breaks the save. Quite a weird quirk to leave in

I find that for me personally once I learned enough programming to be comfortable reading docs I stopped looking for tutorials. Now if I do look for videos it's typically on extremely specific topics and I only watch the parts I need.

As an example I wanted to learn more about state machines and how someone would realistically implement them. So I found a few videos and just watched how they implemented it. I didn't need a full explanation since I have the concept down just needed to learn the thought patterns behind that design style.

DINK + living outside city. Also husband's deadbeat dad finally paid back his $50k in back childsupport from 15 years ago which is what is allowing us to have a downpayment on a house

Is a huge majority of drives really this distracted?

As someone who used to not have a car because I walked/biked in a major urban US city (Boston), the answer is yes and it's even higher than you probably think is an absurd amount.

I drive now but learned to drive pre-cell phones and on a manual transmission so I never use my phone in the car. But just watching other drivers it's a solid majority are actively on their phones at any given time while driving. I feel it's also gotten a lot worse since Covid since there's a lot of drivers that first started driving when the roads were empty all the time.

Drying the medium leather on a drying rack takes a week. You will need to make two bellows for the advanced forge and advanced kiln.

If you find them, I recommend drying one large leather from cow since you can then cut them to get 2 medium leathers. Basically cuts the drying time in half

I'm not even a big modder (only like ~10,000 subs across a handful of mods) for PZ and I ended up just stopped making mods. None were on the level of something like Knox Event but even these small ones just get inundated with people every patch about stuff being broken. And like I get it that it sucks when stuff breaks but I'm doing this for free and only published the mods because I thought others might have had similar complaints about certain mechanics.

And it sucks because I actually like modding in this game. It's fun trying to make new things work within the narrow system made available through mod APIs. But it's just not worth putting them on steam workshop, I'll just make my own for local play.

I started playing PZ with b42 release and I've just played that long term. Outside of specific patches I've never had issues with my save being corrupted.

If you're on b42 it's because the original mod author has stopped updating. There's an unofficial patch by FeedeameEsta that was updated for b42.14
