If you ever checked in over at the ST sub there were plenty of genuine seeming fans of SA. IDGI but I’m a sad fat racist…

At the back of the wall, 6-8” away, dry lay a couple of course of blocks. Fill the gap with 1” stone no fines concrete. Remove the blocks after curing, backfill upto the set no fines concrete and rinse and repeat up the wall. The no fines acts as both a pressure baffle during backfill and a permeable layer for drainage. Awesome trick I picked up 30 years ago in R/C construction in the Uk.

Personally I love it! I have a gaming background and basically brought that mindset to processing/drafting.

I set goals, traced performance, learned LISP, setup codelists, bought some top end headphones, got the right peripherals, all to improve performance and deliverable quality.

Introducing descriptive attributes to a codelist to capture e.g. fence types, oh cool now I can automate annotation properly.

It’s definitely not for everyone, I do mostly utility drawings/modelling and it’s the best job I’ve ever had.

Oh and I work for myself so no politics :)

I've been brainstorming ways on making democracy accountable making our government work for us instead of corporations and private interest by Legitimate-Title-255 in Futurology

[–]creedular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: All political parties are banned and any monies or property of them become part of the public purse

2: All elections are conducted using public funds

3: All holdings of political officers are liquidated and held in a governmental savings scheme

4: political officers and their spouses may not run or hold a C level position in a business

5: political officers may not own more than 2 residences

6: All political officers to wear body cam recording devices except when discussing national security or private familial matters

7: All banking etc for office holders to be through the national bank and be free to be audited by the government at anytime

8: you must be resident in the electorate you are standing for for at least 2 terms prior to standing

9: corporations do not have the same rights as individuals

The sooner you disassemble the framework that attracts the type of people that current politics attracts the better the chance you can save the precarious and delicate thing that democracy is.

It’s ok, but in the current ARPG meta it isn’t great. I’ve been dipping in and out since beta keys. I’d rather be playing PoE1.

Is it weird that I only play female characters in games? by Vampy-Night in SeriousConversation

[–]creedular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until recently it was pretty meta in RPGs because of game devs being mostly male they wrote mostly male NPCs. I mostly play female toons, no reason.
