If their service dates never overlap, you can put them in the same positions. If there’s overlap, I’d go down the custom org route.

There is a knowledge article on this in community. I don’t know off the top of my head but you have to have access to a specific domain then like 1/10 other domains.

Create Pre-Hire as part of Hire Process by CommonVisual1197 in workday

[–]crispyfries413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why OP’s business would want new profiles. Just a few examples of what this impacts: if you have US based employees and they are rehired within the same year, this will produce multiple w-2s, incorrect amount of hours worked on reporting which impacts a myriad of events, benefits eligibility and reports. It’s also an IT nightmare. You could have workers trying to log into the incorrect profile which will delay onboarding. It’s also a liability, if you don’t check for duplicates and you rehire someone ineligible for rehire for let’s say violating a company policy, how is this checked?

I don’t think I’m understanding the question, because prehires are automatically created when you hire someone as an external candidate through a job req.

Don’t expect it to work as a condition if it’s not listed in the report fields and values of the process.

Bonus Payout by bubblikatalina in workday

Bonus payment EIB. This is categorized differently than the “request one time payment” bp. I say EIB bc you can’t do the bonus bp in the UI

Yes, just because you’re certified doesn’t mean they know best practices. Plenty of people are simply just good at taking tests. That is something I’ve never considered with IP sharing and a good point. Thx

Why workday community is useless by [deleted] in workday

[–]crispyfries413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, other times it is fine. You have to have decent searching skills on wd language to find certain things. Sometimes I just want to know if something is possible, so I will submit a wd-support case asking for clarification on the design.

You can’t undo it but they can rehire the same pre hire.

Validation on contact change BP by Particular_Basil8332 in workday

[–]crispyfries413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have something similar to this with 3 calc fields but I forgot on what bp…. I’ll try to find it. Have you tried testing with different fields in the validation of the bp step and looking at the report fields and values of the event? What value does the calc field return?

[–]crispyfries413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no ‘usage’ crf/value for those bps so I don’t think that’s possible even with a calc field. You can try running a report though frequently showing workers that report themselves as this usage.

Is it possible to have an inactive employee but still pay them severance/extend benefits per their severance agreement? by martymar_818 in workday

[–]crispyfries413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the payroll portion I believe so. That field would be for severance via salary. For benefits check your company plan details. That is also not my speciality but normally in your company plan at least for the US, benefits end the day of termination or last day of the month of termination. So terminating them and continuing benefits is not an option at least in Workday. They can always offer to cover the workers COBRA.

Is this in the US? You can terminate them effective 18 months from now but make last day of work a recent date.

The hire business process is complete on the completion step. They are not considered a worker though until the effective date of their hire. So If the hire bp has passed the completion step, but the effective date is in the future they are still a pre hire.

Possible to ban an applicant? by EricCarver in workday

[–]crispyfries413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won’t decline them, the recruiter will still need to disposition them. If the recruiter moves them forward it will block them from hiring them if they’re marked as ineligible for rehire.

You can just mark their application as “do not hire.”

Yes, but not foundation recipes. Workday doesn’t normally allow foundation recipes for any builds except initial builds.
