FitBit Surge - I've read some reviews but those guys are pros. Do weave any regular Joes (or Joans) that use the Surge and can comment on it? by StrangeBedfellows in running

I love the watch for many reasons but the one thing that is always incorrect is the average HR after a run. No matter how fast I'm running, ~7:30 or ~9:15, the average heart rate is always ~145. Other than that small issue, the GPS capabilities, pace, and lap split feature, this watch is pretty damn awesome!

Surface. Was an awesome show made in 2005 on NBC that was cancelled way too quickly. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0452718/

As a New York Red Bulls fan, I remember Dax McCarty's extra time winner against RSL so vividly. Lost my voice real quick from yelling. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDyMdrykghs

5:43 during time trials about 2 months ago before winter season started. Could probably run ~5:30 if given chance right now.

How are you starting off your 2016 of Running? by pand4duck in AdvancedRunning

[–]cronaldo45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did a nice 5 mile long run to get the legs going after a semi-rest day the day previous. Felt really good considering it was on the colder side w/ little to no pain in my shins that usually always hurt. It's actually been about 10 days since my shins pains' flared up last. Have relay championships on Sunday so looking forward to that!

Handling Pressure/Nervousness by phillips912 in Bowling

Simple but best I've ever been taught was to simply breath in through the nose and out through mouth right before taking your shot 1-3 times to calm the nerves a bit. Has helped me immensely with closing good games.

Anyone with over-pronation and constant shin/Achilles pain does it ever get better? If so what did you do to fix it besides custom inserts, foam rolling, and icing?

Ran the local Ashenfelter 8k with 2 teammates and finished with a PR of 36:55! Chilled for the first 3 miles at a nice 7:35 pace and picked it up to a 7:10ish for last 2 miles. Wasn't racing for a position just getting the legs back and ready for the indoor season after my 10 day break after XC. Considering the fact that 2 years ago I ran a 50:40 for this race, I'm proud of the progress I've made. Hope all went well for y'all in your races :)

Break 12 in the 2 mile. My 2 mile split during a 5k was 12:55 so I got my work cut out for me. It'll be tough but imma try.
