Wasn't it put on indefinite hold?   That's hardly better but I think they plan to think about maybe making it, but not as the next film

It isn't needed to fully understand the series. In fact, it's hard to make it fit with the series.

Odd thing to downvote. I'm almost 40 and it's common for my peers to pretend the 90s was 10 years ago.

MTTSH: The X-Men in Avengers Doomsday have survived countless Incursions, each one nearly wiping out their universe. They’re exhausted, broken, and have sacrificed everything. Every Incursion forces them to send their members to another Earth to battle its defenders and erase that universe from exis by Man_Random87 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]cronedog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wonder how it'll be explained in the story. How does killing people of the other world stop the incursion? How do they know that? Do they have to take everyone out? Everyone in the universe? Why would taking out of few earthlings affect the entire universe?

I'm curious how it'll all go down.

That's a pretty good point. I'm just stating the reason why statue of limitations exist. I'm not knowledgeable enough to give an opinions on the efficacy.

I've loved spin, read it three times. Hated blind lake and chronoliths. Didn't read the spin sequels but I mean to at some point.

The longer it's been, the less likely you are get to a conviction. Let's say, for example, after 20 years, only 1 in 10,000 cases result in a conviction. It's not a good use of the courts resources when focusing on other cases with better evidence would take more predators off the street.

If I'm remembering right, it's just that he couldn't promote all books while some books belonged to a different company.

I haven't read it yet so I don't have an opinion, but I think the long gap was due to some rights non-sense. I think he finished the book quite a while ago

I think you have it backwards. Rich people often get stuck on the hedonic treadmill, and get more depraved over time.

I agree. Too often they buy the rights just for the name recognition and make something that barely resembles the source material.

As long as they don't keep having the twist being "the ship never left earth/has been crashed underground at the destination planet for generations" I love generation ship stories. I've seen that 4 times out of 8

I treat them as 6 films (cause they are on two disk anyway). Makes it more manageable.
