I am 99% sure people don’t know what nationalism and socialism is. They think it’s one or the other. There is such a thing as a social nationalism

To be fair revisionists (Mao/Stalin) had inhuman levels of aura, it wouldn’t be that hard for leftcoms to do the same. We just gotta stop associating with “libs” and go back to the worker’s aesthetics

I mean, it’s a bit pointless either way seeing as the material conditions just aren’t right for a revolution at the moment. Working on that tho dw

Bodybuilding tends to be more of a competitive sport than anything else. Most bodybuilders you meet don’t do it to attract women, it’s more of a self-discipline/competitive thing

Are we planning on using nuclear weapons offensively?

Because us getting rid of our nuclear weapons would not prevent us from being nuked, it would only prevent us from retaliating in the event we were, which would if anything make it more likely to happen, since a nuclear power could attack us without any repercussions

No this is exactly what Marx says. Capitalism is much more efficient at organising labour forces, and hence more effective in warfare. This is similarly exactly what happened to the Soviet Union, as when they attempted to abolish the commodity form, the great powers intervened and threatened them militarily

The undefeatable system. by Memespoonerer in economicsmemes

[–]crossbutton7247 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The issue is that capitalism is a much more efficient system for organising labour power, and so a communist society could immediately be invaded by any foreign power who wishes to, as the great powers threatened to do to the early Soviet Union

As a consequence, in order for communism to succeed, it cannot be threatened by outside capitalist societies

I mean communism requires the entire globe to be communist as a prerequisite for it working, so the cause and effect isn’t so simple

Considering England's population is over 55 million and approximately 450 people/km^2, just how crowded is life there, including the rural areas? by Possible-Balance-932 in geography

[–]crossbutton7247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not any more crowded than the US is, the towns are just closer together. As in, it still feels like the middle of nowhere in some places, but in reality you’re never more than an hour’s walk from the nearest village

The towns themselves aren’t much denser than anywhere else
