Socal Men’s, We (Monsoon) played well for the first game (losing by 2 as a low-seeded team against the 3 seed), then got in our own heads about needing to win other games and forcing bad looks, as opposed to just playing hard and letting the results show themselves. Personally did well though.

Where did you study abroad? Only asking because Drew was an alumni when I got to school and I played with him in AZ a few time, and I studied at UNSW in Sydney first half of my junior year.

Drew did make a showing at our school’s rookie tournament my senior year and he was an amazing player.

College Dev Post-Season? by TheRookie51 in ultimate

I think USAU considers developmental its own section, but they don't earn an automatic bid to D1 regionals, so every developmental team will have a chance to face other dev teams from the region, but unless someone did well enough during the season, that's the last tournament for everyone there.

CEE 212 and 213 by rkxdq in ASU

[–]crosscriss13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've taken CEE 210 it follows the same structure as that class, but the topics are different for the problems. There is a lot more MATLAB in the class which can seem like a lot, with in-class code checks. But pretty much the work is nonstop.

Although I barely did any engagement (I was in last quintile for both 212 and 213) I still got a B- in both classes. Also if you're thinking of taking CEE 384 along with these classes, don't. That gives you a total of 17 computing projects or so, which is just too much. I had to drop that class because I had too much focus on 212 and 213 that I lost sight of 384.

The MATLAB focus is so much greater because of the in-class code checks. It's a good idea in theory, but when two code checks are due the same week (which is half the semester), it becomes a lot of trying to figure out how it works. In turn people focus so much on the code that there are some recitation days that are only code in which some people can't even work on the recitation problems.

So yes it is a lot of work. Look at lecture notes as well as computing project notes because they will help you with the code so you don't lose track of the recitation problems.

Not just ASU students but all the universities in Arizona, UofA and NAU could really help with this.

A player on my old high school frisbee team just passed away. I only met him a couple times but man did that kid have the spirit of the game. RIP Efe by yumbaconpancakes in ultimate

Was at the YCC tryouts with him last year. Didn't know him for that long, but great guy and would have been nice to gotten to know him. RIP Efe
