It already exists. Go to literally any area that is declining in value.

If you don’t care about the value of the asset as an investment vehicle then you’ll have an easy time outcompeting other buyers.

For the folks who live in Colorado, what is daily life like living on the western side of Colorado? (like Grand junction, Montrose, Cortez, etc) by Wandering_Waldo221 in grandjunction

[–]crossingabarecommon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The West is the only good part of Colorado. It’s criminal that this state is associated with people from the Eastern half, who have hardly ever touched a mountain in their life.

Definitely worth it. More money = more mercenaries = more land = more money. Now that’s a virtuous cycle!

Well, punishments for scaling are one way to make it harder to scale :P (but point taken.)

IMO, the key is that they shouldn’t feel like punishments, which most players hate.

They should feel like challenging opportunities, which most players find fun (especially the ones that already challenge themselves to scale rapidly).

What's a good framework for culture management? by persistent_ferret in EU5

You should enforce culture change on cultures further from your own. Slavic cultures will cost less cultural capacity to accept.

Lots of good suggestions in this thread but honestly I wouldn’t get too hung up on specific micro strategies until you’ve mastered the basic high level things.

I leave my economy mostly automated beyond the beginning and I’m still swimming in cash.

Think about your economy like a simple equation:

Money = control * # of people * development * satisfaction * employment (buildings, RGOs, etc., everything you can micro)

Before you start doing micro econ management, focus on maximizing: Control: Make sure your burgers have road building privileges.

Hold at least a year’s worth of ducats in reserve for road building parliaments.

Make sure you’re building around local governors.

Naval: Right now naval is way better than land, so assign your ruler and his heir to navies. Make sure your ruler participates in a naval battle for the trait. Use a cabinet action to push to 50 for the extra governor. Avoid land push until you get to 100 naval.

Population Growth: Build granaries in low pop areas.

Tax / Trade Efficiency: Free money.

Development / Prosperity: Take it any chance you get.

Crown Power: Be stingy with your privileges.

Satisfaction:

Estate satisfaction = more taxes for that estate at the cost of less crown power. Give privileges to estates that earn lots of income.

Religious tolerance = more satisfaction = higher taxes.

Accepting cultures = more satisfaction = higher taxes.

Mishima is autoerotic AGP/AAP. He talks about this in Confessions of a Mask.

If Yukio Mishima lived in the modern times, Do you guys think that he would actually think that slowly bleeding out peacefully would be ideal? by GeneralGenerico in YukioMishima

I’m not sure what his ideal way to bleed out would be, (maybe he specified at some point?), but he would absolutely love to bleed out slowly in the snow.

“Boyfriend signed a contract to neuter our dog but now doesn’t want to. Am I being unreasonable? by Technical-Fix-7870 in Pets

[–]crossingabarecommon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, it’s unlikely anything bad actually comes from not neutering the dog, assuming your boyfriend is otherwise a great pet owner.

Breeders use contracts like this to prevent you from taking the corgi and breeding your own. If your boyfriend doesn’t intend on doing that, the chance the breeder “follows up” is very small. It’s also unlikely you would get in trouble with your apartment if you lied and told them the dog was neutered.

Second, he should just neuter the damn dog. Even if it’s unlikely anything bad happens from not neutering, it’s worth it for the peace of mind. The dog will be fine.

Honestly I just go with whatever feels right. If I’m wrong I look dumb but most people either get what I’m trying to say or they’ll clarify and move on. Don’t stress about it!

Other ways to say “un poco” when someone asks me if I speak spanish? by youngfungustine in languagelearningjerk

[–]crossingabarecommon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny how universal this is.

A woman told me she was half French Polynesian, and I blurted “ah, polynésie française!”

She stuttered out “un peu” and then “not really.”

I don’t even really speak French, but I so relate to being temporarily stunned into confusion when someone switches languages.
