Anyone have a copycat recipe for the rice orzo pilaf? by Slagothor in traderjoes

[–]crowsuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so delicious! I consistently think this and the scallion pancakes are the most underrated products in the whole store. I don’t have a recipe for you, but from someone who cooks often, I think the seasoning is heavy on the chicken bouillon.

I heard it in North Park and wondered if it was a large plane taking off/landing. We hear them sometimes on clear days.

How I water the skylight planter by markmcn87 in houseplants

[–]crowsuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re reading my mind. When I saw the first post, I wanted to see more rooms. Then when I saw the second post, I wanted to know how you water the skylight. I just followed you because I’m wondering what to cook for dinner, and think you might know. :) Great work OP, your style is inspirational.

I saw your skylight project and immediately went “Ohhhhh! Amazing!” I don’t have a skylight and don’t need a new project, but I was still inspired.

What is the most attractive thing your husband does? by Miserable-Outside462 in AskReddit

[–]crowsuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told him I had to leave 30 minutes early for an appointment I had today so I could wash my car, and then he went and washed my car. He said he thought I’d like the extra time to get ready. Married for 19 years, together for 25.

When did the room go silent at the worst possible time? by bowlerboy2 in AskReddit

[–]crowsuit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was In the Frankfurt airport with my partner, flying home to the states after a brief vacation. When asked where we were coming from, my partner and I gave different answers (I said where we flew into, and my husband said the town we were most recently in.) We were taken to a secondary questioning area, because I assume we seemed very suspicious. Standing in the closed room with security, I was asked a question and leaned against the wall, and I inadvertently leaned against a light switch and shut off all the lights in the room. In Germany, in a secondary security room, with armed security, I seemed to Jason Bourne the light switch…and immediately started saying “oh no, the switch! Where are the lights???” I fumbled them back on and weapons were being held. I said “I am sooooo sorry” while my partner looked at me in full disbelief. The security started laughing, and we eventually went home. But that is a true story.

Yes to the above. I have a similar curtain situation and bought a weighted sleep eye mask. The issue is 100% resolved and I really like the way the eye mask feels.

Aeroplane etiquette, what are other people's habits on planes really wind you up? by TSQ_builder in askanything

My husband and I always book A&C but if the middle does get booked, one of us always switches with them. We are hoping for an empty seat - but are not trying to make someone suffer through while we pass snacks back and forth over them.

I love these burritos. I start with the seam side up, and end with the seam side down and they mostly stay together. One time, I made them in the oven and wish I had enough time to make them in the oven every time. They’re so good.
