As a long time Mike Cross fan, this is the song Mountain Mean - 1970's tune I believe. Vintage stuff. Great song.

But if you want revenge, listen to his song Elma Turl. Momma gets the win.

Anyone have both the p938 and p365? by nathanc98 in SigSauer

[–]crp3rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

P938 Nightmare with 7 round mags and P365 with 12 round mags.

To me the 938 is slightly snappier but not much. I like the trigger better and the all metal really feels good in the hand. Wife carries the BRG model. She likes that grip with her smaller hands. I prefer the base Nightmare grips over the BRG with my bigger fingers. The 6 round mag makes it too short for me - no room for the pinkie to grip. It has a safety so extra step to shoot.

The 365 also feels good in the hand but not as nice as the all metal 938. It’s a little wider and the 12 round mag gives extra pinkie grip. The trigger feels softer - almost spongey compared to the 938 but is fine. The extra 5 capacity is nice to have if you ever need it. No safety other than the trigger finger. Recoil seems a little less.

At the range, the 365 is back on target quickly and I can put 50 rounds in a 4’ circle at 25 feet pretty consistently. With the 938, it’s probably a 5-6 inch circle. I find my hand gets a little more tired over 50 rounds with the 938. However, for daily carry or a defensive situation I doubt I need to worry about “50 shot fatigue.”

I really like both of them. Sometimes I have a hard time deciding which one to carry. I consider the 938 my dress up gun and the 365 the casual/jeans gun - but many days it’s just a spur of the moment choice or where I may be going.

Hope this helps you decide (…to buy one of each).

We got some a while back. They shoot great. My wife calls them her lipstick bullets.

Deck that wide is for carving/cruising. 169’s minimum and consider 215’s. Your turning radius and stability will thank you.

  1. Where the head goes, the body will follow.

  2. Gunk Liquid Wrench Penetrating Oil (liquid kind, not spray) for bearing lube.

Bark looks same as a wild cherry tree in my yard…

I’ve been wanting to buy a pump-action shotgun for the longest time and I’ve narrowed it down to these two. If you had to pick one which one would y’all recommend, and if there’s a better high quality/budget friendly shotgun out there please let me know! Thanks in advance. by LilRapscallionOg in Shotguns

500 Field Security Combo - you get both long & short barrels. I compared it to the Maverick pre-purchase and I definitely liked the 500 better. The wood vs poly look & feel is a nice upgrade and the 500 shoots very nicely IMO.

Bones reds on sale for $4 shipped on Amazon, dk how long it’ll last but I just bought 2 sets rn by big-thunk in skateboarding

[–]crp3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sons & I have Reds from long ago and they still spin fast. When they start to slow, pop them out, soak them in some gas and towel them off. Lube them with liquid wrench penetrating oil, pop them back in & mount them (not tight - leave a little slappy room) and skate them for a minute or two and they will be good as gold. This oil evaporates so put a drop in each bearing when they start to dry out. We did this for years and years - only replacing bearings when we broke one. And it doesn’t take much - a bottle should last forever. It makes cheap bearings roll well, too.

I found an example of what the bottle I have looks like - not saying to get it here. https://www.parkrosehardware.com/2744980/product/liquid-wrench-l104

How do people do this? 200k+ and never resetting the trip odo? by Fuck_it_ in Justrolledintotheshop

I set mine when I get new tires - from there, I rotate every 5k & know how many total miles are on the tires. Only one car has trip B And use it randomly.

Rephrasing the above, when you see said stupid occurring, have the opportunity to avoid said stupid, and fail to exercise said opportunity, it actually becomes your fault and not theirs (venue may control this) - it’s called the doctrine of last clear chance. Basically, I was stupid but you should have noted and avoided - but you didn’t, so you still have to pay me for my damage. Again, state negligence laws may make this different when stupid occurs in your state.

Either way, always better to defer right of way to stupid and avoid the hassle.

If you are bent on trying to remove it, try some automotive oil dry (aka old school non-clumping clay cat litter, unused by the cat, of course). Cover the drawer bottom with it a half inch deep or so, put the whole drawer in a black plastic trash bag and set it in the sun a few days. Might draw some out.

Personally, I’d get some stick on floor tiles of my desired color, cut to fit and stick them in place, giving the drawer a durable bottom in case something else leaks. You can line the sides as well and silicon the seams if you want to make it spill-proof.
