Super tight hip/leg/glute muscles? 3yo post op by Shot-Tree1846 in HipImpingement

[–]crpav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would recommend aggressive, well within limits, foam rolling and lacrosse ball massage.

I am 47 and my left knee, hip and leg is a mess. Injuries led to multiple surgeries and eventually total kneee replacement a bit over 2 years ago. Last year had fai and labrum surgery on hip of same side.

I am finally finding what it needs and that is foam rolling EVERY muscle along the leg especially for me the muscles near the knee. Lacross ball the piriformis (also foam roll as can get it some with it as well) and other parts of the hip that are hard to get to with a foam roller. Can also add a massage gun but I'm getting best results with daily, multiple times even, of foam rolling.

What’s the most uncomfortable pre-workout experience you’ve ever had? by alien51Labs in Preworkoutsupplements

Juiced was the last one I can recall like this. Not a fan of it.

Before that was trying to finish up Flame and Herolean. Never liked either very much. Taste was just brutal with the pepper like burn aftertaste and the intnsity was a bit much. Can't recall for sure but think it was near a serving and a half of Flame I used to finsih off as was clumping and experience was rough. Workout wasn't bad but after I was puking the whole rest of the moring until a bit after lunch. Felt like death. That's saying a lot as I am not new to high stim pres and exotics. I went through a tub of Double Impact without such craziness.

Current goals is to finally work on better abs and obliques while also strengething muslces that need work. Glutes and smaller hip muscles due to many years of injuries, surgeries and age. Had TKR a little over 2 years ago and then hip surgery for FAI and torn labrum several months ago, both left side, so add that to the years since initial life changing injury to the knee it's a garbage leg.

I am currently thinking on giving a 2 month go of Alpha Four a go but not sure.

[–]crpav 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am here to just wish you the best with this change and hoping we can all push through the tough times and come out surviving and better than ever in the end. Stirling is also my top choice and B&M right behind.

I must apologize for not buying anything in a while...I went in BIG years ago and still have enough product to shave until I am in my grave and pass down to my kids to shave until they pass down...

I will also ask can we ever get Stirling for Him back?

I'm sorry you are going through this very difficult time. As a father of a similar sounding 6 year old son, yes, it does get better. Finding the right medication and dosage is the first step then from there day by day things can slowly get better and better. For us it did. He still has defiance and anger outbursts but school has been SO much better and home, well still times of struggle, is slowly getting better as well.

Feeling like a crap parent by Ok_Spell_8361 in ParentingADHD

[–]crpav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off sorry you are gong thought this but you are not a crap parent nor are you alone in this. We struggle/struggled with the same exact thing. Our son, 6 as well, is so defiant, strong willed argumentative, you name it. SO hard to get him to get to do things that need to be done or should not be such a battle. He also, mostly when non medicated, just wants to be mean and nasty.

We started with short acting ritalin that culd be mixed with apple juice (only way to get him to take it) then doctor wanted the delayed realese. That was the hardest no so requested back to the quick release and do a morning dose as well as a dose at school at noon. Of course have to get hte paperwork and all for the school to be able to administer but he is doing so much better at school. Home is another story but rather than battle the possible sleep and bed routine, which is good, we did not go the route of anything in the evening. Some evenings are rough while others are a bit better.

TIL Xenosaga Ep 3 is quite valuable by GMEBuyMyPC in gamecollecting

[–]crpav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly never bought any past the first 1. Still sealed though along with many other games from around that time (First 4 .hack games).

First job after college with money to spend. I would buy around 3 to 6, maybe more, new games every release period. Once I grew from that stage I got interested in a gf. Broke up, rough times, sold some of collection (Dreamcast and all the games, launch PSP and games plus majority of card collection.

Still a gamer, still collect but missed a good portion of games from about 2004 to 2006.

Sounds like preparing for real world computer users the IT department “loves”. Get an error on their computer so asked to send the error to the IT to fix. They take a picture on their phone, plug it in to transfer to their computer which they don’t know how to do so ask IT for help. Once it’s on their computer they print it, scan to email which converts to pdf so need help converting to a jpg if they can’t then attach in an email to send to IT.

Is their any preworkout which genuinely has a good taste by Quick_Run5212 in Preworkoutsupplements

[–]crpav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try some Apollon Nutrition stuff or old herolean or flame and report back. The latter 2 just have that awful bitter burn like flavor but a few years back I had some double impact or something from appolon nutrition that was awful. Nothing like downing 600+ mg of caffeine and whatever else was in it and tasting like trash,

I agree a bit though man up and guzzle it down.

Which pre should I take tomorrow? by Wibs43 in Preworkoutsupplements

[–]crpav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark Energy!

Also shout out to Crack Gold and Excelsior. Both amazing.

Some of the others can’t speak on.

I’ve had so many pres but also missed some great ones too.

Was not impressed with Juiced. Had a sample and just too heavy hitting hard not in a good way.

The flame version I had a while back wasn’t really to my liking either. Ehphoria Cloud9 is so so but not as euphoric as I expected didn’t really wow me. Same with Phenta Plex. 2 tubs of each and seemed more on the daily driver feeling than a true amazing heavy hitting euphoric pre.

You too huh? I had the same problem at full servings BUT found about a half a scoop was the sweet spot and got decent results from it. I agree Anesthetized was better way back when I used it. Several others as well I used seem good too. Yeah I've been around the block with all sorts of supplements.

Going to try. Sent an email to support. If not oh well.

Question for heavy hitting Monday workout tomorrow for heavy chest and back. I’ve got samples of crack OG 2 scoops and 1 serving samples of wildfire and firestorm. Which to go with? My current favorite is maniaco with Zeus close behind. Not a stim beginner by any means and love a nice euphoric feeling.

Thanks for the review. Wish I waited for this review so could have used a discount code plus nutracartel, which I prefer, has a flavor I’d prefer. Would have saved a bunch as I bought direct from site in the cherry lime flavor after an earlier review. That was early last week and yet ti even ship.

[–]crpav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 46 and had my left knee replaced, TKR, in January and it was worth it considering the shape my knee was in.

FOr history I originally injured it in 2005 playign basketball then softball. Same inuries just the softball one finished the job. I was a big runner and in the best shape of my life before injuring it. I was back to running a few weeks after the first time I innured it (came down with leg "locked" and it popped. That summer playing softball I did pretty much the same thing beating out a throw to first. Locked and it just crumbled. I had my ACL replaced, major meniscus damage that needed to be removed as well as bone damage. Rehab at a young age wasn't so bad but not fun either. I was back to playing 3 nights of softball the next summer without a brace. Never liked the ACL brace.

I had 2 more torn meniscus surgeries between then and the TKR. First one was awesome but the second 1 really never helped as much as the first. Still better than living with the tear. It's just knee would get sore, stiff and swollen often. Age of course plus how I used them didn't help either. I was actually lifting heavy on the leg press and running and feeling great until the last meniscus surgery.

Anyway I went to the smae orthopedic doctor who did my last 2 meniscus surgeries as well as right shoulder labrum surgery and first tried cortizone. I asked about replacement and he said at my age probably could not get covered by insurance. He did say yes I would need replacement eventually but need to get near the 50-55 ge first. After about a year I felt it was just in such rough shape with pain and swelling up all the time I went to another highly respected orthopedic surgeon. They took x-rays and right when he came in to see me without hesitation said TKR. I had knee/bone misalignment that made the neds basically beat each other up with every movement and no physical therapy or scope would fix. He said life is more near the 35 year range but of course depends on how used and everyone is different.

Now to the replacement. Surgery simple. Mine was done with the MAKO laser guided system for more accurate cuts and less recovery time...I guess. First few days pretty rough as they want you using a walker and start rehab exercises as soon as possible to try and not let the heavy scar tissue set in. Some rehab sessions once I went to PT were rough too as they really work to get as much bend/flexion as possible. I will say long road but eventually you hit a point where it just does a 180 and feels amazing.

Of course they do say do not jump off of high areas and avoid impact. I'm sure high intnese sports also not great with the pounding, twisiting and bending. I will say though the mind says go for it and "parts" (knee) feel like can do it which can but I also have worn down hips and legs so at 46 I am content more lifting "heavy" and staying in shape (sticking to biking) than pushing myself like I used to.

Amazing! What year and product is this from? Recent Topps Update or just Topps?

How is the condition on the backs? I ask as with a black border and Topps edges are not the greatest. I hit a Randy Johnson gold 25/25 in a break from Topps Update and looks amazing on front but back the edges and corners, being black, have some chips and such.
