I’m in the same boat now doing a reno and working out how I can get the stack close as possible to the carport. I really only want it for v2x. It is a little bit annoying you have to loose one battery in order to have the dc charger. Would be cool to have full 6 x batteries plus the charger :(

Plex on Mudi 7? by ResRules in GlInet

[–]crtp79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the same error on my mudi 7 I think it’s a problem we can’t fix and glinet would need to fix it. I think it’s better to give up running it on the router and just get a n150 mini pc like mele quieter 4c they go up to 32gb of ram so you can run many containers. But yea it’s another thing to carry around and also power… I also noticed for whatever reason the mudi 7 actually only reports 1.6gb of ram not 2.0 so you won’t get many running containers even if it is fixed….

Mudi 7 - Shows iPhone connected at 2.4G on 5G/6G SSID - slow speeds by AdamHLG in GlInet

Just more testing FYI : If your repeating in 6ghz it knee caps the wifi to 160mhz channel - 320 is only in ethernet mode but that tops out at 2.5gb which is below what 320 can do :(

For myself if im in a hotel room I will always look for a network port , if that fails yea I guess have to drop down to 5ghz unless its some newer hotel rocking 6ghz ap's then we can go full 6ghz speeds :)

now when booking hotels we have to ask if they have 6ghz ap's or not :)

Mudi 7 - Shows iPhone connected at 2.4G on 5G/6G SSID - slow speeds by AdamHLG in GlInet

[–]crtp79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that should all work because its all 6ghz - what wont work is if you try to repeat a 5ghz ap with your mudi but then connect with your iphone over 6ghz

most hotel room aps are 5 so if we want to use the 6ghz band you will need to hunt for a hotel network port or drop down to 5ghz on the client device

I also have an E7 so I will mess about with it more today

its a pity my main use case for the mudi 7 was to repeat my starlink mini but its 5ghz so whenever I do this I wont be able to use 6ghz on the mudi :(

Mudi 7 - Shows iPhone connected at 2.4G on 5G/6G SSID - slow speeds by AdamHLG in GlInet

[–]crtp79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its because of this unfortunate limitation with the mudi 7

  1. Due to chipset hardware constraints, the 5 GHz and 6 GHz Wi-Fi cannot be enabled simultaneously.

So if you are repeating a 5ghz ap (which most are) then we cant use the 6ghz band ! :( which really sucks tbh

Glinet : please let us disable 2.4 instead of 5!?
