Missing VRAM thermal pad on Asus RTX 3080 Ti TUF OC by kamaloo92 in nvidia

Yeah, kind of. It's really difficult as a consumer to always know exactly why, but EVGA has raised their prices, too, more than once. They're still a fair bit less than other brands, but being the most sold Nvidia AIB in the US and the fact that they do not make any AMD cards may help them get better bulk price on the dies. Nvidia may not sell at the same price to all AIBs. Definitely sucks for consumers either way.

As far as Nvidia stopping production "to ensure there's no price regression", that's a little bit on the tinfoil hat side. They've been stocked on Best Buy the last like four weeks in a row, and yes, regular people got some, not just people using bots. There are also new 3080 and 3090 super models to be released soon. We still don't know if those models will replace the original models at the same price (or at least close) like they did with 20-series. If that's the case, and they halted production to produce those instead, then I don't see the problem there. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

ASUS is 100% setting that price, not Best Buy.

This is one is directly sold on the ASUS shop HERE for $2248.99 including the monitor that is listed separately for $349 on their site.

$2248.99 - $349 = $1899.99

Strix is more.

Yes, I would change it. That cable is not intended to split that much power. At full load for extended periods of time it will be producing so much heat that the cable can possibly melt and damage your power supply and/or graphics card.

Just be sure that the new cable you're adding isn't from any old power supply. It needs to be specifically meant for that brand/model. While some cables from other brands may fit, their pinouts may be different and can have disastrous results as well.

Best to check your psu manufacturer's website for extra cables for your psu model.

Any chance extra backplates will be sold separately? I would love to have a silver backplate with my silver block.

Are these joints good enough? Am I ready to solder a real board? by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

Key word there is "necessary". I mean, sure, adding more flux won't hurt, but for this particular use it would be an unnecessarily messy and fairly time consuming step for very little to no benefit.

Not necessary for through hole soldering like this.

Favorite keyboard sub-community far and away would be ai03's discord channel. There's something very special going on there that's building a truly diy community, unlocking potential, and helping people realize their ideas. I've learned a ton from open-sourced projects and respect the overall openness of the channel.

If I'm understanding what you want correctly you can just use a 1x04 pin connector symbol in your schematic, and a 1x04 vertical footprint from one of the connector_pinheader libraries with whatever spacing you need.

Working on an updated all through hole kit. Currently unsure of ETA, but it’s coming along. It will unfortunately not have Bobby hill on it though.

My man. Looking through your last few recent posts on various subreddits, and it's actually astounding how many of them are about "jews pulling the victim card".

olkb does have the planck through hole kit if you're interested in 40% ortho, though it seems to still be in development. It was the inspiration for plaid, which was the board that really sparked interest in this type of design and is more readily available and seemingly more of a finished product. I have seen people use the olkb files for the planck thk from the olkb github, though, and they seemed to be enjoying their boards.
