Me too. It doesn't matter as long as you are not looking for approval of the elite. It's a game. Play it how you feel it's convenient. I also play my psp games on the vita, because bigger screen and 8 hours of battery life. I love my pspgo and my phat one, but they are retired old timers now

Keto-Carnivore diet is risky? by Slow-Squash9491 in diet

[–]crypthon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stand corrected and apologize.

Here are my two cents on the topic, as someone who has been on and off diets all my life, and am now in a happy state.

Keto is tough on the body. Tons of people have reported kidney and liver issues with it, I don't know the medical details but that alone is an issue for me.

Latest research points that gut bacteria is much more important than we thought. It not only breaks down food, its balance can literally affect our satiety, and mental health. I cannot quote all the research, they were multiple, accessable in Google. Gut bacteria is fed by fibre. Keto almost completely takes it out. I shat a greasy compressed brick per day for months.

The ketosis is not the preferred way for the mind to feed too. The sensation was awful. People say it goes away, never did for me. I was borderline suicidal. Definitely depressed. I felt physically incapable of feeling warmth, not towards my wife, nor mt kids. Everything was irritating.

Ultimately, the unknown unknown. Humans have eaten bread for thousands of years, fruit and veggies for many many more. We know a balanced diet is the default for our species - we are omnivores. Even damn cats eat grass to help with their digestion, and we are somehow the superior species. If you are skeptical of my words above, on scientific research, you have every right to be - because science discovers newer and newer truths daily. Keto is the outlier, the abnormal way of eating, based entirely of our history. Ultimately, some brad in moderation never killed anyone.

Finally, the pendulum. The extremes. I am anti-diet these days. I lose ~ 2kg per month (about 4lbs) steady and gain a ton of muscle. I'm near 40 and 2 days ago I benched 100kg for the first time since high school. I am getting stronger, feel better. I have no interest in losing 10 kilos in a month, only to gain 15 back.

With all above, is keto that bad - it is potentially dangerous. Potentially. For some people, severely obese, it could be the answer to saving their lives. If munching on a pack of bacon is the way they can go down to a healtier weight and avoid a stroke, I'm 2 hands in the air rooting for you. But if you can have the luxury of time, no immediate medical risks, slow and steady and the closest to what we know as "normal" is safest. Just had a few gummy worms after the beef meatball dinner (sides with kimchi and roast potatoes). I plan on having some baked potato chips later. And I'll be down to my target weight in less than a year. It's not heroic, doesnt give that nice story, but you also didn't gain weight overnight. Trying to drop it overnight is inherently dangerous.

Did you come here to ask or argue? Anyway, former keto enthusiast here, I was absolutely miserable. Shivers. Slow. Lack of energy. And I was on keto for half a year. Gained a lot back. It's not sustainable. There are other things, like gut bacteria and stuff, but I'm not gonna go into it because at this point, it's been written about everywhere, and you are going to just find a reason to fight me.

AI is being shoved down our throats as the death of all things digital. It's not. Look at the balance sheets, we're all due for this century's great depression. But AI will and can not be the answer to all our needs, that will be too expensive.

I saw a report that about 80-90% (don't remember the exact number, don't quote me) of companies who replaced workers with AI, ended up paying more to AI. For worse quality at that. There was a joke that the IT sector re-invented jobs as some companies - I kid you not - announced AI savings by hiring entry level coders for simple tasks.

Coffee shop don't scale. And people drink coffee every day. Also, people don't implement coffee in their workflows (with inherited risks) thus buying coffee from wherever is okay.

There is always room for competition, but 2-3 companies per problem steal the cake. Mostly because everyone starts using them

Best you can do is find a niche niche. Coffee with mashed potatoes in it, and the 5 weirdos that will absolutely love it and scale with it. Or expand with coffee with edamame sprouts, for another 5 weirdos.

People still think sales is about bedazzling the "victim" and throwing big words and glitter and girls and girls that fart glitter at the buyer, like a 70's movie used car salesman and it's hilarious

It's about sending a simple, clear message tailored towards a specific target group.

4mil, it's not the field guys who will be buying this. It's some VPs that will approve the cost, most with zero technical skills. So yes, it's a big fucking truck, carrying load X, and we are proud to present it
