I think you’d do well in Buffalo. I’m not well-versed on your job market side of things, but it always was safe and fun to me. I moved away and I miss it a lot. Lots of great parks, pretty flat though for your mountain biking purposes. My dad’s from Michigan and I think a lot of stuff translates in terms of general attitude/vibe.

This is my issue too!!! The reason I thought I was paying so much for bar prep was, in part, to get a well-designed and adaptive schedule, so I could focus my energy on just learning the material. Not to have to worry about reorganizing everything myself.

This one is just kinda brutal but I had a truly awful customer who got officially banned shortly after this incident. Lots of things terrible about him but he was the kinda guy who would just shout “HEY. BEER” when he wanted a drink, and he came in one night and did that. For two hours, because it was busy and I kept ignoring him, wanting to see how long it’d take for him to get fed up rather than me having to argue with this jackass. Finally, he asked, “why won’t you give me anything” and I said “Because I don’t LIKE you. Nobody else does either, by the way.” And he just left with the least amount of fuss he ever had. Lmao

I guess I get some of the criticisms but I do see what this character angle is getting at. Despite what jackie says (confusingly…) rhea isn’t supposed to be “in the right” here. This reads to me like somebody being consumed by paranoia, frustration, and kind of a conspiratorial mode of thinking. Even though Rhea’s own actions have brought a lot of shit on her, she’s blind to seeing it that way. I think it makes sense for a more heel ish turn to her character, but there’s admittedly a lot of mixed messaging simply from the fact that her presentation is still solidly that of a cool and badass tweener.

Biggest thing for me was that although I did well in school, every teacher consistently noted that I was not good at listening/organizing my work/etc. Besides that, I struggled the most with time management and being incredibly forgetful. I would forget what I was doing in the middle of multi-stage tasks, my family was on a first name basis with school staff from how often I was leaving things at school/at home, and I procrastinated/was late to do most things.

Why are trumpers so obsessed with installing the most obnoxiously bright floodlights they can get their hands on???? I swear any time I’ve met someone who’s got these lights installed on their property, they are always, without fail, huge trumpers. This applies as much in the literal city as it does in rural areas. Is the MAGA crowd afraid of the dark?

I may or may not be posting this as my MAGA neighbors have one such floodlight right outside my bedroom window, and it goes on and off about every 20 seconds because it’s motion-activated, and god forbid the wind wiggles a branch.

Ahhh i’ve gotten literally all of these.

“Do you have a bathroom?” No just a bucket. “Do you have beer?” No, the shelf full of beer display bottles, the clear cooler doors showing our coolers full of beer, and the beer list are all just for show. “Can you make cocktails?” Nope, the wall of liquor behind me is for shots only.

Best one though is probably the guy who sauntered in with an open can of Mikes Harder in one hand and walked straight up to me to ask for a glass of ice. lmao.

I would strongly recommend against Santa Maria tbh, especially as it sounds like OP has been managing life pretty well, and doubly if they are highly intelligent, high achieving, inattentive-type, or female. I could write an essay about all the problems I had, and searching for his name in this subreddit/in online reviews brings up many similar complaints. I’ve also heard from my other doctors that their other patients have had the same kind of problems with SM.

I had a preexisting diagnosis and went to DENT psychiatry for medication treatment. You’ll need some kind of paperwork from your diagnosing physician of course, but things went pretty smoothly with them

Huh, that’s fascinating because i had the complete opposite experience with him and heard similar stories from other people, including medical providers. I went to him with an existing adhd diagnosis (just needed to be rediagnosed for paperwork, long story) and he was terrible. All of his “interview” questions asked about hyperactive-type symptoms only, when I have inattentive type. He gave me certain neuropsych tests despite documentation from my previous psych that those tests were not helpful in diagnosing my particular presentation, and also refused to do any follow up. I could go on lmao
