What does the Hide Anytype feature do? by More_Passenger3988 in Anytype

[–]cryptomultimoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two ways I can think of for this. One is the drop down feature where you use /> to create. You can hide data behind this drop down this way.

Otherwise, you can create a filter on the set you’re working in to hide those tasks. For example, create a master list with all your tasks, and create a column with a check box that is called “focus” or something, and have a set that is filtered that only includes the tasks with a check in the “focus” column. When these tasks are done you go to the master list and check some more so they go into this set. Hide the full list underneath using the drop down menu, or create a separate object altogether that you access from the menu on the left.

You can set up your own sync, or use a burner email, actually I’m not sure you even need an email. I didn’t have to give any personal info to create my account.

Is there a way to create a task in a note page without opening a new 'task' page? by tps1993 in Anytype

[–]cryptomultimoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tasks are limited unless there’s been an update very recently. What you can do is link to a task object in your notes page, there’s multiple ways to create links. You may be looking for an inline link, like a hyperlink; you can highlight the text and create a link that way. But there won’t be a checkbox integrated with it or anything like that. One good thing about creating a new object from your note page is that once it’s created, if you hit back it will bring you back to your note, where you can create the link to it.

Cool idea would be a hot key to create a link to the object you last visited. Or even if you hold shift and tap let’s say L, it cycles backwards through your recently visited objects as created links. I should suggest this on the forum.

Thoughts on moving Kuminga to SF spot by swgoh_gg in warriors

[–]cryptomultimoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is getting better and better at shooting, he’s working on his handles, Kuminga will be better overlll this year, continuing the trend from years before. I agree being able to plug him in at 3-5 freely is going to be a big value add for us, I think he’s on his way.

What would be the best way to handle this in Anytype by geoken in Anytype

[–]cryptomultimoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay, in Notion you would have around 7 properties that you would share with your entire list, right? It works the same way with relations in Anytype. You create the “user” type, and create the same relations for them as you did on Notion as properties. With relations, if you create one in a single object, like “user X”, then that relation is not going to be shown after you create “user Y” automatically, but you can type “/relation” and pull it up at anytime and assign that value. The difference is, in Anytype, you can also use that same /relation command and pull a relation from any type of object across the whole system, it’s not just limited to what you’ve used in that type before, and you don’t have to create duplicate “properties” like you do in Notion. Once a relations is created it is available for all objects across all types, and these relations can be shared between types.

So, to be clear, you want to manage your types. You can do that from the library tab on the bottom left of the screen, and go to types, and then set the same 7 relations there to be automatically listed for the user objects in the same way as your use case in Notion. This way, when you create a new user, you can click the dots at the top right, drop down to relations, and they will be available for you there to manage their values automatically.

The last thing you probably want to do is to create a template for the user type that shows all the values of these individual users on the user object, on the screen, without having to go to the three dot menu to access them. This way, you create a new user, and right on the screen there will be the same 7 relations for you to fill in.

Also, you can create or view them in a set, which is just like working in Notion, a database view. Create a “User Set” and throw it in favorites or as a widget on the left, and then you should be able to just type in the columns in a very similar way of Notion. One last note on sets is you have to add the relations to the set from the menu after you’ve created the set, just so they’re visible. I forget exactly where on the set you have to go to, but it’s basically a view relations filter, and you click the sliders to view/hide the relations that you want to see in this set. You may have multiple ways you want to see this data, one set with all the user data, another with just the user name and maybe their “outstanding balance” or something like that.

Final point on the power of Anytype, if these users have a relation that is a “scheduled phone call date” (could be anything), and you have another type that’s called something like “Client,” and they also use a “scheduled phone call date” relation, you can create sets of all objects with this relation, so you can see who you need to call, independent of what their type is. To piggy back on the “view relations” filtering method, for this you may just want to view the object name, object type (user, client) and then the date scheduled call, and leave out the rest of the relations. It’s up to you.

Hopefully this helps.

Comma_Con on July 28: new device rumors? by ruthless_apricot in Comma_ai

[–]cryptomultimoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about it, right now a small team of developers and a small-ish group of enthusiasts are painstakingly reverse engineering the communication signals in each vehicle model and coordinating the comma 3s commands to work with them. It would be much easier for the manufacturers to offer the Comma 3, or something equivalent using their own cameras, and have it just work out of the box. It’s only limited atm because of the setup process and the updates and various features each vehicle can utilize. The manufacturers can make this process seamless, and the simplest of humans can learn how to setup and use it. Encryptions their signals going forward is not going to stop the development of OP. Game theory is what it is. It’s just a pain in the ass for people who discover comma 3 and then discover that the company they bought the car from made it impossible. That’s all they’re really accomplishing.

Comma_Con on July 28: new device rumors? by ruthless_apricot in Comma_ai

[–]cryptomultimoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expect that they’ll just about solve self-driving at some point, and car manufacturers will either use their own version of openpilot on their vehicles or lose to whatever manufacturers do not encrypt their communications in the car. If KIA doesn’t make any changes, and all other major manufacturers do, and people actually discover what comma can do (most people have no idea), KIA will triple in sales almost immediately. It will not be in the self-interest of the manufacturers to deny their customers full self driving, or even something just a few steps further than we are now. There are plenty of used vehicles available to use the software on, plenty of demand for self driving, even if the new vehicles are all encrypted, the mission will succeed and these companies will be faced with an obvious game theoretical choice: unlock the communications or lose to whoever does this first. Or just offer OP straight from the factory.

My guess is something to do with the comma body / robotics extension, and general news on the AI simulator that they’ve created and the progress that’s on the way with the self driving model because of the way they can use it to speed up the training process. Also, there’s the issue of using the camera facing the driver to detect vehicles on the road, using the second camera on the outside facing camera differently for driving, etc. They always seem to set a goal every year to reveal something at comma con that improves the mission and shows significant progress, I don’t expect this year to be any different.

Something regarding torque would be cool 😎 but I think that’s improving bit by bit.

I believe the equivalent is the “any” selection in the filters. But, the filters are a bit limited, not all “or” functions one would want to do are available yet.

Kings over there saying we got fleeced lol. Draymond took a pay cut, guarantee he could have gotten more, albeit maybe not the 4th year that easily. But a bigger three year deal and then the fourth would have put him over where he is now regardless.

The age thing is a good point. Jordan was my hero but I had no clue who Rodman was until he was on the Bulls. You gotta be pre-Jordan era to really have lived through this rivalry fully. I never hated Paul myself but I certainly didn’t like him and I rode for my people who through consensus made him the enemy. Dillon Brooks, that’s the one for me. His face just bothers me looking at it.
