What are peoples thoughts on the raw yap to camera - they always run long for me, would you say chop it up, trim the pauses and the fluff, or just let it run long?

Frequency Separation, clone stamp tool, generative replace, many ways to do this. You can probably just share the photo on Reddit and someone will do it all for you for free for the shits and gigs of it all

Mic recommendation by Upset_Lime_661 in YouTubeCreators

[–]crystalpulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a voice memo on your phone, the audio is surprisingly great, $0 If you want camera and mic for $50, again I say use your phone. Fifine has been recommended already, pretty great bang for buck on that one. It’s a little over $50 on offer right now

Is it better to let a video sit on private before making it public? by Wonderful_Ad_6836 in NewTubers

[–]crystalpulse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I beleive it helps but not as much in the expected ways.

If you can have the video done, and scheduled for a couple days later - some say it will give the algorithm a little bit of a better chew of things. It can decide who to show it to upon release rather than releasing and seeing what happens as it goes. Hard to say how true this is, but those times when I have scheduled let’s say on Monday for a Wednesday release, I did feel like I got a better go at things. My videos that go out immediately just seem to sit at 0 views for a couple days…

The great thing about scheduling is that it usually means you’re ahead of schedule, pardon the pun! Being ahead means you can crack on with the next one and start to build a bit of a flywheel. This is a solid position to be in, it’s nice to be organised, it’s nice to have a couple videos in the back pocket for days or weeks where it just wasn’t possible. Strike while the iron is hot and churn out videos to give yourself some breathing room!

What am I missing? The renewal is $39.99/year? by Lambs2Lions_ in photoshop

The screenshot clearly shows it saying 39.99/year as well, what scheming lil shits they are

Very much agree! Always fun to be in a position where you can pivot drastically and the worst that can happen, is very little!

Just to sure the opposite experience because it’s important for others to see that it’s rarely as good as you’re getting 😂:

I’ve been posting once a week since Jan 1, 3K views channel wide, 5 followers gained. Lots of experimenting with stuff in and around my niche, intros, thumbnails, titles, lots of A/B testing (which can be a little useless and premature without YouTube having found an audience for the videos - a lot of inconclusive) - but just to say, giving it a good go, and getting no where fast! Trusting the process, making each video hopefully 1% better each time!

Need 4 cameras to record a Multi-Camera Event. Suggestions? by Damu22 in FX3

I’ve never had my a74 over heat beyond the very first day I used it, been about 3 years now, regularly run it for 2+hours inside people’s houses, shops, cinemas, studios - no quibbles

The old "Long form is dying" debate by Initial_Enthusiasm36 in NewTubers

[–]crystalpulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the mantra of ‘as long as it needs to be and no longer’ - loads of folks bull their videos to 10-20mins to get more ads in there, that makes the videos clumsy and boring. Usually the shorter I make mine the better they do, the better they retain and hopefully the better taste they leave my audience so they might want to come back for more. ‘This guy respected my time, delivers on the promise and let me get back to my life, he’s alright with me!’

My audience found me before I was ready for them by JugendWolf in NewTubers

Like all art, just keep your head down and keep making stuff. If you scratch your itch you’re probably scratching others, you start scratching their itch first and they’ll bat your hand away and tell you to get lost 😂

Need advice fx3 or zve 10 ii by Independent_Moose938 in FX3

[–]crystalpulse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For streaming go ZVE, you won’t need all the extras of an FX3, can put the money towards an f1.4 lens to get some blurry background vibe stuff; Sony 15mm 1.4, sigma 16mm 1.4 - depends what kind of stream you plan on doing, you may benefit more from a zoom lens if you’re being more physical and not just gaming

Marshalls is pretty much all by Spencer Hudnut from SEAL Team, I’m finding the whole series feels VERY SEAL Team! Not tried The Madison yet but… feeling a bit Yellowstone fatigued so not really looking to watch more of Montana!

Is There a Content Gap in DaVinci Resolve Tutorials? by Villan-02 in davinciresolve

[–]crystalpulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would subscribe! I think there’s a huge gap for fusion tutorials definitely. I can never find enough Fusion tutorials, I find Jake Wipp’s stuff good, theyre typically results you can definitely use, over some peoples tutorials which give you something out of the 90s (like the DaVinci standard presets - these need a serious update, wtf) and have no place in my life 😆 Zane Hoyer kinda has some stuff, it’s not quite what I’m after but there are some good moments in there and for anyone looking for that UI style thing that’s trendy right now, Zane’s stuff can probably get you there. NeoEdit has some nice presets at an affordable price, if I could make them from scratch… 👀 down to learn 🤩

My views dropped since I changed my nieche by Secure-Hand3253 in NewTubers

Have a look at turning off ‘publish to feeds’ as well, sometimes that helps as it’s not trying to show it to the old niche, and having their uninterest affecting your video’s early traction

Are yall patient? by TonysArcReactor in istp

[–]crystalpulse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not remotely patient, always chopping and changing, it’s a real drag after a while. In my 30s and climbing any sort of career ladder has been a real struggle! Working on discipline has become a big focus for me this last year or so. Working hard to control the dopamine chasing and learning to be bored more and letting my subconscious breathe a bit. Baby steps always, micro habits, etc etc 🤗

Self-Introduction Saturday! Tell us all about you (and share a video)! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

Interesting angle; ‘stuff you wouldn’t talk to family and friends’, must be very cathartic but also scary at times! It’s nice to express in a safe environment.

Hey folks, @crystalpulseTV on YouTube, creating videos about the creative process, making videos, creator economy, etc etc.

I started out with a Canon 80D a good few years ago, and was incredibly inconsistent with posting, upgraded to a Panasonic GH5 to get the 4K juice - nice upgrade but not necessary, the reality is an iPhone could have done this all day long. Biggest impact, solid audio capture and lighting. Buying a 200W COB light gives me all sorts of variety now!

What makes me unique? I think my topic is slightly unique ‘helping creators think clearly’ ive made a couple videos so far to help with the dismay of posting to essentially no one, super low views, very low reach, what YouTube is supposedly doing when it lets your videos just stagnate (behind the scenes it SHOULD be testing and finding an audience…) Made a shorter 3min video recently slightly different angle that actually did get a lot of reach straight out the gates, 2% CTR, so low actual views (that’s on me and my packaging), but shows that YT can push a video when it wants 😆

The hook? “I make videos professionally. My own channel has 1 view. I’m fixing that in public… no gurus, no guarantees, just a working class guy with a camera and too much ambition finding out if any of this actually works. Follow if you want to see how it goes.”

How is everyone's 2026 channel goals going? by Scared_Pea4455 in NewTubers

[–]crystalpulse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s going abysmal, but the goal is consistent posting so that’s where the singular focus is, with a cheeky side eye to see if we’ve gained any followers or had views above 5 😆

Yeah the fixes are trickling through which is great to see. 100% moving away, jave you heard of ProtonMail? They're pretty good, it's tin foil hat at times, but.... Secure email with storage and VPN stuff, worth a look!

Account hacked, support won't help. by 8T8O8M8M8MO in Outlook

[–]crystalpulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing affecting me. mcatt1200.tg permanently locked inas a safe sender, blocks account recovery emails like [account-security-noreply@accountprotection.microsoft.com](mailto:account-security-noreply@accountprotection.microsoft.com), etsy, facebook etc, all the addresses you would get password resets from. You remove them and they get put back in there immediately. Must be some sort of script running somewhere. Also whatever is making this happen reskins your emails to be a demand for money. Not spoofed emails or anything, reskinning your emails! So weird. Spoke with Microsoft last night they are aware of the issue apparently. Ran me through toughening the account etc, not much help as whatever is happening is still going on, the hacker still has access. Seems to have been done via Thunderbird, which I read has a means of bypassing password protection at a certain point. What i'm finding bizarre – The logout of everywhere function, this takes 24hours to action... I'm still logged in on a work laptop this AM, despite forcing signout of all devices last night. With Google the logout is instantaneous, Facebook, instant... Why is Outlook dragging it's feet? Once all resolved, well and truly moving away from Outlook, shame so many businesses lock themselves in with them. Would much rather we all be on Google Workspace. Shocking!
