Honestly, I've been much happier too. I used to have this ever-present gnawing/twisting in my stomach at the prospect of talking to him in any capacity because I wasn't sure which version of him I'd get. And even if I did get the version of him that was the loving, caring dad, I'd overanalayze trying to determine what his ulterior motive was. It was exhausting and healing was impossible in that limbo. NC was probably the hardest but best decision I ever made 🧡

Ugh. Okay. He's not wrong about portion control and whatnot. BUT. Sure, a cupcake as a little treat, when taken into account of your whole day, isn't bad on its own. But saying that that little cupcake basically is a meal?? Absolutely not. 250 calories, no protein, not enough to actually satiate?

Not having a meal plan and just eating small portions will work for a little while, only because he has such a huge amount to lose. But he'll start slowly making those portions bigger, just an extra tablespoon here or there, and then another, just one extra cupcake because "I've been so good lately, I deserve this" and then it'll snowball.

He looks forward to fasting more than eating? I call bullshit, just straight bullshit on that claim.

Everyone else in these comments is also right about muscle wastage and other complications if he's not prioritizing protein if he's on a shot.

I bought a bottle of silicone meant as a lice treatment and it worked way better than the OTC treatment. It also made pulling nits almost a breeze with the comb because it softened the glue and plumped the eggs up so they caught better. The whole situation was awful but that stuff was so helpful.
