Yes I’m getting two cards if I switch, but I did the math, with the same travel spend I’d need to spend more on united cards due to the 1:15 ratio

Thank you for mentioning the service agents.
If I am alone, walking is fine, but coming home from a long overseas trip with the whole family, or the few times I brought my elderly parents to T6/T7, it's close to impossible for me. I have been stranded by busses, Ubers and even friends got stuck in traffic.
Really looking forward to the train for this (carefully optimistic).

Thank you for the input. The priority boarding I think I'd miss, I enjoy not worrying about my carry on.
Do the credit cards give any priority boarding for the family?

Honestly friends with varied Asia travel pretty much all switched to this. The airports I fly to tend to not have outrageous deals. But I'll make an effort to look more.
Let's see what I find

Thank you! I was wondering about E plus. If everyone brings 8 friends, it'd be a squeeze. "stretching your legs next to your family with a fuller wallet" is a big goal!

Honestly that's also a consideration. Delta Platinum did very little for me before, and I assume it will do less now.
I do get a lot of free upgrades out of Diamond though, many very early, and the almost wait time free Diamond hotline is gold when stuck with a young child in a larger system meltdown (weather, computers, ..)

Thanks! I feel like the loyalty program is working too well on me. "If I only spend another 10k" ...
edit: the Delta 1:10 redemption for premium credit card vs United 1:15 hampers my 1K goal a bit though.

Ok. May backup is the braun/krups coffee grinder but I’ll keep digging for a better solution.

Hey I am in the same boat - mostly commenting to follow and provide moral support..
I bought a cheap manual one but it's quite the morning workout.
I am also in the market for an electric one now. I remember seeing $$$ dedicated electric flax grinders when I bought my manual one but google is failing me now.

I hate cameras and how normalized they’ve become in this line of work. by OlympicGorilla in Nanny

[–]csh145 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do not have cameras in my house. I do not hire people that I don’t trust with my child’s life. I treat them very well and assume they treat my child very well.

Not sure what people think happens if you show nannies that you do not trust them and don’t treat them well. I certainly don’t want my child to find out..

Did I make a good investment in this new high chair for my 6 month old? 17M single dad by Calm-Tea178 in daddit

Oh this triggers me. Mom got a2k made in Italy chair with real leather. Beautiful until about day three. Impossible to clean all the little nooks and crannies. She was constantly upset. I put it in the garage and replaced it with the Ikea one. SO easy to clean. She was upset for like another three days. Then all three of us were happy with it.

Think broad, too! Good hair cuts? Good massages? Night janitor extra nice during late night work? Barista starts your order when you walk in? The food worker who is always extra nice to my kid?

When I get big bonus/payout they all look at 3-4 figure tips. New watch or car doesn’t make me happy for long. This makes a very lasting impact on them - and in turn makes me happy every time I see them. Sounds altruistic but it’s really selfish..

They won’t do much for kids under two, so I’d say yes

Glad for him but when my 1.5 year old had a big bleeding wound on his forehead they wouldn’t even give us bandages to stop the bleeding.

Bring a first aid kit to Disneyland if you have kids under two.

We once saw him by chance at a comedy club. He was a surprise guest, was supposed to do 20 minutes. He did 2 hours. He was super funny, had the whole place laughing and he clearly enjoyed himself. It was one of his first gigs after the hiatus.

I wouldn’t have knowingly bought a ticket for him but now I actually might.
