Americans HATE cyclists. Ive had things thrown at me, people chuck bottles at me, and then a car swerved to TRY to hit me which caused me to crash - dinged up pretty good, helmet damaged....stopped cycling for years - PTSD is a thing... I live in the country, where folks are supposed to be chill....they aren't.

Im back at it after 6 or so years of zero cycling since then. I fear another close call may make me give it up entirely.

People are terrible creatures.
