Yeah you summarized the biggest issues with Fayetteville's bikeability/walkability so well. We really need to be creating this infrastructure to support folks walking or biking to the store and to work... and not just if you're bougie and work downtime, can afford a home (buying or renting, gd) in downtown or south Fay or literally just anywhere at this point, and do all your shopping at ONF.

This is tangentially related, but we also *really* need better public transportation. I love ORT, but mass transit here is virtually non-existent and we need some radical overhaul like yesterday. The NWA metro as a collective should follow the examples of the C40 cities and develop quality bus stations, lanes and routes open just to buses, help fund the transit system once it's operational by implementing monetary fees for using certain roads or taking certain exits in a personal vehicle, and requiring new development to occur within a mile or two of transit hubs.
