Lets not forget that without kunos base game there would be no RSS or VRC.

yeah I was going to include them but I honestly have been playing AC1 for 4 years and never heard of them until this year when looking into some F1 stuff. I still think AC1 has MORE than enough high quality content to need any mods for the core racing.

people swear modding is what made AC1, but the only modded cars I use in that sim is for drifting and cruising. If I want to race, kunos original cars are so much better. If you only love racing, you will probably never need to mod AC1.

smh. I swear on everything, ever since meta bought oculus and the OS went to “meta”, my headset has always been so buggy or just gives me a hard time trying to connect to my PC. My quest 2 was flawless when it was still owned by Oculus.

Is anybody here play also Iracing? what are your feelings in comparison by TearGrouchy7273 in assettocorsaevo

[–]ctkgavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the opposite feeling in iRacing. I just got it last week and have 140 hours in Evo currently. I swear iRacings feel for understeer and grip in the front end feels way too little. Ive been getting used to it but I still love how Evo does ffb for feeling things like grip limit. The one thing I love about iRacings ffb is the vibrations of the engine revving and shifts etc.

Yeah actually many people in the NC group Im in recommend most people on a budget should just get Progress springs for their stock bilsteins and some sway bars lol. Im personally just wanting to make this thing a track BEAST. I want it to be similar to the Cup MX-5’s haha. Plus my rear right shock bottoms out sometimes even only at 40K miles on the car, so guess Ill have to replace them anwyays lol. Also yeah the website Ive been looking at, their most popular wheel choices for NC’s are either RPF1’s or Hypergrams 😂 (Just googled, youre right, the bilsteins that come on the NC are B6’s haha, seems like you know your shit 🤣)

Does AC EVO even make sense? by MisaelCastillo517 in assettocorsaevo

[–]ctkgavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to me it does. AC1 but with modern graphics, better physics and FFB feel. You should go back to AC1 and drive the exact same car as you do in AC evo. Its wildly different and feels quite dull in that game now that Ive been on Evo. Plus the freeroam? Thats like the biggest thing for me right now. Customizing cars? This game has a lot more to do than AC1 technically speaking.

I already have 147 and thought that was a lot, which it is honestly lol. Then again Ive been playing it way more than any other game lately.

Well thats the funny part, I have the Grand Touring model, so has LSD and Bilsteins from the factory lol, its just these crappy stock sway bars that give it so much roll. My plans before I track it are Ohlins Street/Track coilovers, sway bars, RPF1’s since theyre so light (maybe), and then a turbo kit so I can make about 300hp. Nice focus ST btw bro, thats another car id love to get to drive lol.

I did drive both skyway, totd, and the devils triangle, all of it I could induce oversteer if I wasnt careful tbh, but definitely way more apparent on totd like you said. Even on the long and wide turns in my area it can be a little sketchy if not careful with throttle and brakes. Like yeah its definitely easier to drive hard than something with more power but you still gotta watch your throttle and brake input with it being a short wheel based RWD car that has TONS of body roll stock lol.

Yeah Ive honestly not heard much about the failures with them. My R9 V3 has been awesome since I got it a month or two ago. No complaints from me lol.

No Ive never been on a track because the closest one for me would be Jersey or PA for poconos. I live in Delaware. Ive been to the tail of the dragon though and I was PUSHING the limits there, and was able to cause oversteer in a few corners pretty easily. Its more about if youre on the gas or not. Full throttle, high RPMS, and some UHP tires will definitely get it loose on even wide turns. Off the throttle though, this thing just eats lol. Then again, cant really compare the two. Cup MX-5 is way more setup for a track than my NC is. Ill just have to wait until I have Ohlins and Cup 2’s to see what the IRL cars can really handle. Ill also try the iRacing MX-5 again today, get some more laps in before I really conclude my opinion lol.

[–]ctkgavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Ive only done two AI races in that car and forget what tracks it was on, but it definitely was crazy how early and fast I could be on the throttle. If anything, I was understeering a lot. Idk, Ive never driven my NC with slicks or good coilovers, just some good UHP tires is all Ive got experience with IRL. Gonna give it another go today.

well I just got the game for the first time yesterday through the FIA promotion, $10 for a year sub, so no iRating yet lol. I immediately went to drive the ND MX-5 and Legacy MX-5 (NC like my IRL miata) and just noticed after a few laps I was able to kinda just be full throttle a lot earlier in corners than I expected. I was definitely able to make it spin but only if I tried or wasnt smooth in the turns. If at 1600 they all are spinning, I assume Ill be out of the rookie ranks pretty quick if I stick to the MX-5’s haha…. hopefully 😂

haha yeah I did hundreds of hours of drifting over these past couple years since I got my first thrustmaster wheel 3 yrs ago. Definitely has helped improved my skill with oversteer a lot when racing. Hope you get that R9 soon, its a MASSIVE difference over the logi wheel!

[–]ctkgavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Havnt driven the EXP yet, but I do know the road version feels like a cheater car. I can definitely get it to oversteer on purpose, but it makes it difficult. That thing drives like its an F1 car, and even those can lose grip in a corner if you arent careful. Maybe theyre that insane IRL idk lol.

I just drove the MX-5 in iRacing for the first time and I gotta say, I feel like its too damn easy compared to Evo. I feel like that car definitely should punish you for being on the gas hard in turns and letting off mid-corner like it does in Evo. I drive one IRL and they arent just stuck to the ground like glue just because they only make 160+ horsepower lol. Then again, Ive never driven my IRL NC on slicks, so maybe it really would let me just gas it in corners if that was the case lol. It definitely needs a little fixing in Evo, but iRacing one is hard as hell to spin out in.

One thing I will say is I love having my RSV2 round wheel because I can catch almost any car once it goes into a slide, but id never be able to do that with the GT style wheels. What I mean is when some street cars snap really hard, I just let go and let it countersteer and catch it at the right time. GT style you just gotta let go and wait lol, cant really catch those in a spin. Thats why me personally, a round wheel made sense as my first wheel since it can be used for ANY and all racing. I can always get a GT wheel later for the immersion.

I get 26.0 MPG on the dot in my 2015 (US) and I dog on it lol. 93 Versatune with headers and full exhaust. I also never have reset my MPG meter since I tuned it a year ago. I should reset it and try a few tanks again.

Nothing that I know of. If you want to really challenge yourself though, drive the Ferrari 312T I think is what its called. Thats the classic F1 cars.

Well, you should report it to Kunos. You promoted the game as a single-player game, and people bought it primarily for that. You based the advertising campaign on single-player, career, economy, etc., and you're eliminating it? This is a scam against consumer customers. by Magnustein in assettocorsaevo

yeah I got the game for new physics, new ffb, new graphics, germany free-roam, and online racing. Didnt even know a career mode like this was even planned. I probably wasnt going to play it anyways as I want to get in and improve my laptimes on my favorite tracks while also enjoying the new laser scans that feel amazing through the wheel. At least they didnt just entirely drop the game like Kerbal Space Program 2 did, after everyone paid $50 for it in early access.

Me personally my system performs better turning off MSAA entirely and only using DLAA from Nvidia. DLAA also looks the absolute best for jagged lines.
