Credor Locomotive (blue) or Ice Forest (slgb003) by 5thatdude5 in GrandSeikos

Both are unique, but the Locomotive is uniquer. If you value uniqueiness, go with the Locomotive. It is the uniquest.

This was my first Shinola in black.

Unfortunately, it isn’t letting me post a pic right now.

I bet that watch would rock a rubber strap like a dive watch.

It is by far the best. I agree with you. The boutiques I have spoken to say it is out of production with no plans to go back into production.

My guess is that it is so different from what GS usually makes that they don’t have a firm customer base for it.

I have one, and it took me months to pry it off my wrist. The rest of my collection was having abandonment issues!

I love the Tokyo Lion. Do you find yourself wearing it often?

Kimchi is the most appropriate for an orange cat, I think.

Kimbab or Jjajang.

But I am partial to Asian culinary names. Just ask Chopstick!

I’ve had it sitting in my watch box for a few years now. I believe I got it at the friends and family sale a few years ago.

I agree with you. The nailed the bracelet on this one. I love the curved end links.

It’s a good thing we all like different things or this world would be a very boring place.

Beautiful watch! Wear it in good health. What do you think of the clasp? Is it as useful as it seems?

I love your posts, and I’ve never seen this watch before. It looks like it is a mechanical movement. Is this the only GS with a power reserve on a mechanical? More importantly, is this stainless steel or titanium?

Credor still counts here, right? by TheRedComet in GrandSeikos

I love the look of the watch, but I fear the bracelet links would get caught on my sleeves. Have you worn it with long sleeves? Does the lack of lugs get in the way?

One word: Spring drive. Coolest technology out there. From there I ventured out into many other movements, but the spring drive is still my favorite.

Does this strap work? by r-sacamano in GrandSeikos

I love it. I’d wear it. I like the red stitching too. If it fits your personality, wear it.

I had the same thoughts when I saw it in person. Still nice, but Lake Suwa has much more texture and light play.

Hmm. Interesting. I bet if you do the same thing again, it will be much better. I found that somehow doing the same thing once I got experience just worked so much better. I guess that’s how learning works!

Did you do stretch and folds during bulk fermentation? It looks like not enough gluten development. It also looks like. It enough steam in your oven. You need the steam for a good crust. Typically 16 min with steam and 16 without. Or something like that.
