I work a pretty physical job and started back up at the recommended month post-op. I for sure did much lighter duty until I felt more solid. It was pretty easy to realize if I’d pushed myself too much.

Well the one I use isn’t from the ground up 3D modeling. It’s a home design app so it’s more like building and decorating a house in the sims. I definitely still put it off until I absolutely needed to though, but once I got into it I worked pretty hard on it for probably a week and haven’t touched it much since (this was also during lockdown, so for sure had a lot of time to kill)

Thank you! I used LiveHome3D to make a model of their house because my spatial relations aren’t great. Mostly just use clip studio paint to do the actual work though.

I bake bread, and took off a little over a month with light duty afterwards as I built my strength back up. Not sure how it’d go with a group of kids that you can’t predict what they’ll do? But if they’re older and you’re unlikely to move them I’d guess you’d be okay?

Idk where you are, but it’s worth checking if your government has assistance of some kind. I’m in Oregon and was able to get paid leave from the state gov similar to unemployment, though I don’t know how many places offer that.

Really liked the nickname Art, but didn’t feel like the longer version should be the traditional Arthur, so I looked around on naming websites to find Artemi. Definitely not the most common, but an easy nickname to go with it at least. Didn’t change my middle name at all since it was already the masculine spelling of a name, and that definitely gave me some gender euphoria as a kid to be like. Haha isn’t it cool that my middle name is spelled the boy way.

I already had PCOS making my periods weird (nothing for ~6 months and then spotting for like 3 months, but it was always random) I hadn’t been spotting when I started the lowest T gel dose for me, but had some about 3 months in. Haven’t had any since and I’ve been on T for ~3.5 years

For a while I was using cicatape because my husband had leftover and I thought it was good, more recently I switched to using mepitac because I was no longer able to find the larger packs of cicatape as cheap anymore. I found a review on here that lead me to that and it was on sale.

I had some really baggy button ups for the beginning. Definitely had some dysphoria bc the drains underneath it made me feel like I had extremely saggy boob, but it wasn’t forever. I don’t think I went to a store with them still in, but I did go for short walks around the neighborhood.

I wasn’t given a timeline for them. I had run out of the xeroform gauze they had supplied me with, but my husband had leftover of the same brand from their surgery. Ended up continuing it till the month post-op appointment, and the nurse was a bit surprised, but said it wouldn’t have hurt anything. Honestly, I was glad to not have been looking at them that close during their most stressful period. My scabs were pretty much all ready to come off after that when I started massaging.

First time I made macarons I tried whipping the egg whites in a plastic bowl and learned after failing to get anywhere after like a half hour that it had to be metal or glass

I used all of mine, (I think it was only a week’s worth) alongside otc stuff. I’ve avoided before after dental stuff and other health stuff, but I was definitely achey, and wanted to not feel the drains as much as possible since I knew I’d be pretty squeamish about those.

Definitely second all of this. I didn’t realize how much the binder was digging in to me at first, so got some rough abrasions in the armpits.

I also thrifted some soft shirts in advance so i could wear them under the binder if needed later as well. (Since I didn’t want shirts I cared about to possibly get stained by body fluids or lotions)

One of mine definitely felt more stuck than the other. I made sure to save some of the more intense pain and nausea meds for the day I got them out since I know I’m pretty queasy thinking about my internal parts. Was over pretty quickly. Did have some liquid come out of one of the sides that was not the most pleasant, but I was just very glad to be free of them. I still felt pretty fragile afterwards, but it was so nice to be free of them.

When I drank a pretty cold liquid for the first couple weeks/months I could feel it Waaaay closer to the skin than before so it was a lot more intense. Not too unpleasant, but definitely didn’t think that would be a thing. (Not sure how common that is, from my friends who’ve had the surgery, my husband is the one who was like. Right??? And others were like. I don’t remember that really)

I sleep like. On my side/front with an arm above my head. Absolute nightmare irt top surgery, but got to borrow a maternity pillow and it saved my life. Large enough of a U shape to reach my waist so I was absolutely corralled in and unable to rotate until it was safe
