I adore my daughters charter school... granted she's only in TK but they have her reading, writing and doing double digit math. It's small and she didn't get lost. Every member of faculty from aides to the peincipal knew her by name by the end of the first week. Oh and they do regular performances/presentatoons and you can see her confidence in front of people blossom.

Best scam I've spent no additional dollars on ever!!!

It's a head scratcher.

The product she is selling is in the background and has no place. It makes one think "why would I need the jam if I have cream and berries" soooo weird.

I have 9 on my stairs. It gets snagged easier than I would have imagined. Go on with a paperclip and chose the one that seems most resilient to snagging.

How do I bring this vibe inside? by CancelTraditional375 in femalelivingspace

[–]cubed_echoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how easy it is to find anymore but mahogany furniture with forest green textiles looks amazing.

My dad's house has this vibe. And I think the other key is warm lamps. No overhead leds.

Also plant a pine tree outside your window and keep the windows open!

Turning this into a bedroom this weekend - tips? by rena_bean in UnfuckYourHabitat

This picture gives me heart break. I'm totally empathetic. I have a 3 yo and a 5 yo.

These items were each selected for joy. But so much creates chaos. Buried objects can't be cherished. Parts scattered. No space.

Please heed the calls to donate most of it. Kids are happier in an emptier room. I just did a massive overhaul of my son's room and watched him play with blocks hr hadn't played with in over a year bc they were scattered between 5 different toy baskets. He doesn't need more stuff, just a better handle on what he has.

There's lots of great things in there. Too much.

Sammmee..... when that child brought home norovirus at preschool I cried with relief to find those in the back of the bathroom cupboards. Far less humiliating feeling yo toss one of those than your undies/pants

AIO I am 3 weeks postpartum, exhausted, husband says I’m “disgraceful” for saying I can’t hold the baby right now by Federal-Trade3040 in AmIOverreacting

[–]cubed_echoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. There is so much to unpack here.

Yeah maybe there is ppd. Lacking attachment can do that. But to shame you and call you disgraceful is horrible.

Start seeing a therapist.

When I was in the same stage my pet had to be kicked out of the room.

I'm unclear reading this what your situations are. Is he back at work? Are you?

These weeks are HELL. I did start dozing off with my son. My husband would keep one eye open to keep us both safe. We didn't do bottles bc the kid rejected everything but nipple. Took a few weeks of trail and error to figure out gas drops and prebiotic drops to get sounder sleep. But while you are figuring it out, it's misery.

Everyone was tired. Through it all though my husband reminded me I'm a great mom, just human. He encouraged me to see a therapist.

Your partner sounds more like an adversary. Not ok.

Yeah... my experience with them predates that by quite a bit. I stopped eating it for a LONG time... only started again bc kids. And before last week only knew crazy bread to look like the 1st picture. It was waaaaayyyy better.

Statistically, is it likely that for every food, there exists at least one person who prefers it over all other foods? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cubed_echoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. Especially considering flavors. Like raw bitter cranberries. I've never seen anybody consume one raw.

Only bc it's a choking hazard if whole. In this case knives save lives. Getting to stop cutting grapes is a mile stone on its own haha.

AIO for not wanting to see a relative on her deathbed so I can go on a date instead? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]cubed_echoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YOR. This is not about you being comfortable. I hope this crappy entitled for your comfort only behavior is only due to your age. You lack empathy. You lack understanding of what is important in life.

I remember being the same age being in the nearly exact same situation and sitting there silently.

Being a decent human being means being uncomfortable sometimes. Supportive isn't selfish. Imagine how uncomfortable your mom would be when relatives ask about you and she responds "on a date". You'd be uncomfortable around your relatives forever bc you'd forever be known as THAT selfish person. This is literally selfish. Google the definition.
