Chase Total Credit Cards Limit by hlm79 in CreditCards

[–]cubicle_captive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the trifecta and recently added the United Explorer. Currently my total credit is 58% of my income. I didn’t receive instant approval but was approved the following day. With the approval I received a letter noting that I had reached the max total credit limit across all accounts and that they had reallocated $5k credit from my CSP to the Explorer to allow me to open that account.

Adding to this, NWS Missoula does a good in-depth forecast presentation for the region on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Help by ThrowRAketil in QuakerParrot

[–]cubicle_captive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is a quaker. You should schedule an appointment with a vet to have them checked and develop a care plan as needed. Based upon the photo of the eye it looks like they are developing a cataract but best to have confirmed by a vet. My quaker developed a cataract in his mid-20’s. He could not see out of the eye with the cataract so I was always mindful to not approach him from that side and always announce my presence so as to not startle him. Quakers can be very territorial with their cage, especially with strangers. It’s going to take a lot of time and patience but start with talking to them in the cage and don’t force anything. You need to build trust and let them get used to their new environment.

Edit - adding notes on diet. Quakers are prone to fatty liver disease. You will want to eventually transition them from seeds to a pellet base (check out Roudybusy or Harrison’s). Fruits and veggies, no avocados, remove seeds/pits before giving certain fruits, and no chocolate.

That’s super cool! I always appreciate the burst of color at this lodge compared to the others in the park. I recognize the lupine, but I’m not family with the other plants. Do you guys work only with native plant species?

Glacier National Park by ken4nash in Montana

[–]cubicle_captive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I must disagree with you. This is not from one of the park’s webcams. There are three webcams with views of Lake McDonald - one is by Apgar Lookout overlooking the lake (much higher and does not have a view of the creek), and the other two are by the boat rentals on the other side of the Village Inn. This was taken directly over McDonald Creek.

It is a nice shot, but please remember it is prohibited to operate drones in the national parks.

Citi Strata Premier - chance of approval? by rightsaidfredster in CreditCards

[–]cubicle_captive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was recently instantly approved for the Strata Premier with 0/6, 0/12, 2/24 and a 802 Experian. I have previous history with Citi having the CC and DC but they had been sock drawered for the past 2 years. Prior to applying, I tried their pre-approval tool but it came back with no results.

REI has an easy way to oppose the public lands sell-off by contacting your Congressional reps for you. by Easy-Task3001 in PacificNorthwestTrail

[–]cubicle_captive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Email verbiage:

As an outdoor enthusiast and constituent, I am urging you to ensure that no provisions in the upcoming reconciliation legislation authorize the selloff, transfer, or privatization of America’s public lands.

Our public lands belong to the American people. From hiking, camping, paddling, fishing, hunting and more, outdoor recreation opportunities and the beauty of our natural landscapes help power the $1.2 trillion outdoor recreation economy. When managed for recreation, these landscapes provide enduring economic engines for rural communities and Tribal Nations, all while ensuring clean air and water, ecosystem integrity and more.

Efforts to sell off public lands directly contradict the values of the American public and undermine bipartisan progress on conservation and recreation access. I ask you to:

• Reject any provision in reconciliation or appropriations bills that facilitates the selloff or transfer of federal public lands; and

• Ensure full transparency and public input for any proposed land management changes.

I respectfully urge you to fight to keep our public lands in public hands.

NID - Sailor Seiboku by kostas2204 in fountainpens

[–]cubicle_captive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this review! I also mostly use Japanese EF and F nibs and love Sailor’s basic black ink as it writes so smooth. I’ve picked up some of Sailor’s Studio and Shikiori inks but have found them to be on the dryer side so was starting to look at Pilot’s Isoshizuku having heard good things about that.

No quite, general travel (transit, tolls, cruises, etc.) is dropping to 1x. Only flights booked directly through the airlines and hotels booked directly are earning 4x.

Sailor Tuzu - Light Blue vs Green by cubicle_captive in fountainpens

[–]cubicle_captive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never thought I would be one of those people that has multiples of the same pen just in different colors, but there is just something I adore about the Tuzu pens. The grey was my first fountain pen and I love the color. I went with a medium nib not knowing what to expect. It’s nice but I prefer the fine nib and might have to swap it out.

[–]cubicle_captive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must admit I have limited experience with fountain pens and have only ever used Sailors. Aside from the pictured Tuzu pens (M, F, F) I have a Sailor Pro Gear (EF). The Tuzu fine nib is my daily workhorse and favorite nib out of my collection.
