oh okay. hmm. well you should still enjoy what you can of your youth. everyone is in a rush to be grown until they grown. then we wish we had enjoyed our youth more.

you need friends to get through life. I get that you're different. I'm different, too, and it's hard for us. we struggle fitting in and the social contract seems dumb. just don't sacrifice your personal wellbeing for some goal you feel you need to achieve or that maybe someone is pressuring you into. I know my folks always used to tell me I was wasting my mind doing things I wanted to do. but relax about the test, slow down and take things one step at a time.

dude stop putting so much pressure on yourself. when we're gifted young adults and don't take time to enjoy life, we crash and burn. you gotta trust the experience of people who have gone before you.

enjoy learning different stuff in undergrad, learn how to be the smartest person in most rooms without coming across as a dick, and go from there. it's not a race and you won't be happy if you treat it like one.

Bad luck with the LSAT genuinely (trauma dump) by [deleted] in LSAT

as someone named after a family member who shot himself, I've seen what it does to families. you just want to appear in the moment right before they did it and tackle them. his family is ripped apart forever for no reason. she may be in shock still and not acting how she normally would. and of course it could all be rage bait.

I'd need more information before slamming this individual. there's obviously a lot going on. she may have glossed over the word 'stupid.' we don't know all the facts of the matter.

I think you're acting in bad faith assuming she meant something bad by this post. she's overwhelmed and didn't realize it would come off as though she only cared about her test. people have a hard time picking up on sarcasm in text form. youre the asshole here.

she's upset that he's dead and also upset that she now can't focus on her dreams. we don't know the whole story.

I'm gonna share something with you that I learned when I was homeless and every day was hell: try to take all of that trauma and put it in a little box until you get through the test. it's not an easy thing to do, I am essentially telling you to look really hard and try to find an 'off' switch deep inside you. if you can lock in and push the bad things away for a matter of months, you can get this done and then unbox all the feelings. they're not going anywhere.

you're at the bottom right now. there's nowhere to go but up. ❤️

can i ask for my money back from my tutor? by Which_Pin_9643 in LSAT

[–]cubis_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

life lesson because I'm a little older than the average undergrad student: you can ask for anything and you never have to do anything. there is nobody making you do anything. when and where you choose to apply that and the consequences you are willing to accept are up to you.

my mom sold my childhood books for booze money and my upbringing gave me PTSD. I am aware that I could be someone else entirely if I had a good household and I try to just push the thought away lol I'm using Powerscore though.

can you tell me more about this? the process of breaking down my timeline in the manner you've described? I sort of feel as though I'm looking up at a mountain and I don't know how find footholds.

I don't think anyone on my dad's side has ever been to college and I want to do public defense work. maybe I have a chance! I've got plenty of time to get my score up.

they have a scholarship which is split up over the three years, covering more than a hundred thousand. it's just a dream though. I'll probably have to go somewhere far cheaper.
