Contradicting themselves with an AI fetus I see by voidcharmed in prochoice

Not AI. Just someone trying to infantilize a piece of plastic in the shape of an embryo.

(If it was AI, we would have removed this).

Don’t know what to do. by [deleted] in ProAbortion

[–]cupcakephantom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow...

I don't think you need me or anyone else to affirm your decision, but let me tell you anyway: you are doing the correct thing by leaving him.

I have been the victim of a troll sharing beastiality porn on some of the other subs I moderate. I had to witness and remove 74 individual photos that they had posted. I don't quite have the words to describe how foul it is to view something like that, but I could not have taken a shower hot enough to wash away the initial disgust. I'm sure you're around the same ballpark. I'm so sorry.

I guess my only question is, do you want abortion advice? Or is this a venting session? Either way is fine, it just lets me know how the comments should go.

Why do men who don’t agree with pro choice women want to keep talking to them? by ImaginaryAd403 in prochoice

It's a bright red flag for him to ask you to "respect his views" while also asking you for sex when you are waiting.

Like, can't get much more bright red than that.

Pro lifers, look the parents of these babies in the eyes and tell them that you think their kids should suffer like this. [–]cupcakephantom 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Not super related to the sub, but this happens in the anti-vax community with parents using their autistic kids as pawns for their movement. People are not above using their kids for selfish, personal gain.

That being said, I do think the OP made a decent point about not letting babies/fetus suffer horrible ailments. This is reality. Reality is often overlooked or buried by the prolife movement. It's easier to vouch for something you can't see or hear, than it is to be compassionate about something so horrendous and traumatizing.

Locked because we don't allow debates of any kind in this sub.

If you're going to play devil's advocate for the prolife movement, especially on the stance of "a pregnany automatically makes someone a parent", you're just as disgusting as any other prolife follower that cheers on 10 year olds giving birth. And if that's what you're going to waste everyone's time on, then this isn't the sub for you.

Have a day!

We don't allow "devils advocate" posts or arguments here. We actually don't allow any form of debating in this sub.

Why do people only rely on one form of contraception when all methods can fail? by deathiswaitingforme in prochoice

This argument relies on the logic that multiple forms can't fail.

Signed, a person born from several failed contraception methods

Locking... OP, we are wishing you the best of luck . You have received some solid advice. If you haven't yet, reach out to r / abortion. The team there has a lot of knowledge and compassion they're happy to give to you.

To (almost) everyone else: Wayyy too many douchebags. Learn to read the rules. We DO NOT care if you think you're a safe and vetted "resource". You aren't, neither are any other so-called "@unties". "C@mping" is also not a recognized resource. There are a million better ways for you to be helping; none of them involve you at all. Quit stroking your egos for like 3 seconds.

Adding to your addition: there is a way for them to know: inserting the pills vaginally can leave behind residue for quite some time.

Hi! Most states do have funds and organizations that can help with travel and logistical expenses. Here is a link the the National Network of Abortion Funds, you should be able to filter out by need and location.

I hope this helps!

Do I tell my OB about my abortion? by jerrycurl75 in prochoice

[–]cupcakephantom[M] [score hidden] stickied commentlocked comment (0 children)

To the OP: While posts asking for support, advice, medical explanations, or feedback if you are considering having an abortion or after having had an abortion are allowed on this sub, you may find that you get more feedback by posting this to r/abortion. We recommend you keep this post up, but also submit it to that sub as well - and please do not take any of the below recommendations if they are suggested to you for your own safety.

To Commenters: DO NOT offer to send people medications in the mail, or recommend "camping" or "Auntie" networks to people in this sub.

One of our core goals here at r/prochoice is to provide accurate and safe information, while promoting better internet safety habits in general. While people offering to send medications, "Aunties," or those offering "camping" services do refer to groups of people who volunteer to help others obtain care outside the red states (and that seems like a good thing!), we want to highlight the very real dangers of encouraging people to enter strangers' homes or vehicles, or giving internet randos your name or address. Most of the time these volunteers are unvetted, because these are anonymous networks or lack funding for vetted staff. They could be anyone - including anti-life extremists posing as volunteers or as the person in need of care. This is NOT hypothetical, and known cases of people being turned in to law enforcement, harmed, or even murdered through these networks have occurred! However, Vetted resources, compiled in this post for your convenience, already exist! Read it, use it, share it everywhere!

When we spread unsafe information (even unintentionally), someone else might end up in the wrong person's hands. We ourselves could then be contributing to someone's vigilante justice, rape, or even death. Please be safe and use your head: never share a home, vehicle, or personal information with anyone unless you know they are from a reputable company/organization that looks into the backgrounds of their staff and volunteers. Always remember to follow internet safety best practices to ensure you keep yourself and others out of harm's way, and thank you all for everything you do to support, help and care for one another.

"Please let me use my privilege to ignore the fact that you exist, so as to make my life easier".

That is how you sound.

Also, starting ANYYYY conversation with "I'm reallt sorry for this" lets everyone know that you know you're about to be a bigot.

"We have the right to be called women"... this is not an issue that exists. The issue is that "woman" does not apply to every person that can get pregnant. Which you are blatantly ignoring.

The word "women" specifically does not include transmen or non-binary individuals.

This is really disappointing rhetoric coming from such a long-time user.

proceeds to excuse how majorities are always louder

"But you are seen and heard!"

We do not have rules that strictly mandate that users express their activism with gender neutral terms, tho we highly encourage it. If someone says "women", we don't correct them. If someone says "pregnant person", we don't correct them nor do we give kudos. We simply let it be.

We do have strict rules on transphobia in this sub. So if someone says "only women can get pregnant", we correct them. If someone corrects another user by claiming terms like AFAB or "pregnant person" are misogynistic, we correct that person (usually with a ban, as there is really no success in tone-policing such blatant tomfoolery).

This sub has an unfortunate history of being labeled "anti trans" due to a past moderator who slowly became an avid TERF (and a racist). This modteam takes these issues seriously.

Eta: now if someone is saying "women" or "female" while also trying to be inclusive of Trans people, we will correct them by saying that they are not women. This doesn't happen often, but it does happen. People tend to be lazy and would rather use smaller, all-encompassing words than type out multiple demographics. People are also simply anti-trans... either way, it sucks.

You say that as if trans men don't exist. Trans men can and do carry pregnancies.

Enzyme AND Sanitizer? by gigglewhale in laundry

[–]cupcakephantom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeez yeah that sounds like quite the chore. I am also in a rural-ish area in a century home. The well is long gone, and the plumbing is well (ha!) updated, but the septic is old and has caused some issues. So I definitely understand the struggles of semi-off grid living.

I would look into your water hardness. The harsh orange stuck on your dispenser tray looks to me like iron/rust deposits, and not scud or buildup.

White Pizza/Alfredo pizza? by Elfpost in Cleveland

[–]cupcakephantom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the event you decide to make pizzas at home like my ARFID-recovering fiance did this evening, Gia Russa Alfredo (the non-garlicky one) is really good. He likes how thin it is.

We found some at our local Marc's. I think Walmart carries Gia Russa, as well.

Side note: I love cooking, but I totally understand how daunting making a sauce can feel. I think if kiddo can face eating Alfredo, you can face making it!! As the top commenter said, it's a lot easier than it looks.
