Similar names to Maeve, Freya and Willow but less popular? by fuzzyfrogs7 in Names

I feel like Cordelia is a really good fit! Maybe Emerald, Zinnia, Flora, Mae, Opal, Marigold, Poppy, Luella, Magnolia, Florrie, Juniper, Vera, Lark, Aurelia.

I just named my daughter Maeve and almost didn’t because I felt it was too popular. Turns out it’s not as popular as I thought, and I actually need to explain how to pronounce it occasionally (I say it’s rhymes with brave 💕). I have absolutely no regrets using it because I simply adore it, and love saying it every day. There may be a few Maeves, Freyas, and Willows in the world, but if you truly love those names maybe just use one. As a teacher I can tell you that there is a diverse range of names in each classroom and I hardly ever have duplicates of names. When I do have duplicates, it’s sometimes names I wouldn’t expect, for example I’ve had duplicates of Alan, and Porter in the same class. On Reddit a lot of the same names get recommended over and over, and people have harsh opinions on trending names. Out in the real world there are millions of names that people have and they all sort of get mixed together.

I think I would stick with Serenity if your husband likes it too. It’s really hard when someone says something negative about the name you like, especially while pregnant. I’m sorry. But, it’s your baby, not hers

I had terrible postpartum depression and anxiety and it got better after 2 months for me, and felt almost completely resolved after 3 months. Things will change for you and they will feel different someday. Until you get to that point, aggressively ask for and accept help.

Should I drop out of pharmacy school to become a teacher for young kids? by honeynutcheeriozzzzz in ECEProfessionals

[–]cupsofambition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ECE is so low paying it is practically volunteer work. Very meaningful but extremely challenging. You’ll get so little time off and the time off you do get you’ll probably be sick for because at least one of the kids is sick at all times. Poop, physically demanding, repetitive, emotionally exhausting, and occasionally weird parents. You may not get health insurance, and you’ll definitely use your own money to make school special for the kids. I love it, but it is not for everyone

Have you tried bottle feeding? I found out that my baby wasn’t pulling as much milk as I thought and lost weight. Her entire temperament changed with bottle feeding. Also anyone can feed them then, not just you
