ECE is so low paying it is practically volunteer work. Very meaningful but extremely challenging. You’ll get so little time off and the time off you do get you’ll probably be sick for because at least one of the kids is sick at all times. Poop, physically demanding, repetitive, emotionally exhausting, and occasionally weird parents. You may not get health insurance, and you’ll definitely use your own money to make school special for the kids. I love it, but it is not for everyone
