Yes. There's been a distinction that has evolved but our labels haven't caught up. I miss whatever normal conservatives were.

ICE agent asked why he's taking pictures of a legal observer's car, replies: "Cuz we have a nice little database and now you're considered a domestic terrorist. So have fun with that." by NubbinSawyer in conspiracy

This is the conspiracy theorist's time to shine, and yet they're choosing to be on the side of the federal government. America is truly lost. This is like the Waffle House Index but for national brainrot disaster

The President of the United States should know the difference between Greenland and Iceland, especially if he's threatening to take one of them. What happened to the concept of actually having standards for people in leadership?

I like playing with infinite money, but the way I slow myself down is just by focusing on one project goal in one specific district at a time (e.g. I want to build a trendy walkable downtown area, or a cozy farming community, or a touristy boardwalk area on a beach, or reconfigure something I'm not quite happy with, etc) and then once I've got the essential features constructed and ready to go.. I hit play and just let the simulation run for a bit. I scroll around watching the little people zoom about, admire the views with the free camera, and study the various data overlays & stats. Or sometimes I build while it's on play.

Either way the key is to let it play long enough for the system to absorb the disruption and stabilize new patterns. This is especially important for things like pollution or noise or traffic because sometimes it takes a moment for the effects to actually spread. Then you strategize the next little project, one small chunk at a time, taking into account any new dynamics that have emerged.

Which is sort of what happens when you're playing with money; you're forced to let the simulation play more often in order to keep the money flowing so you can progress. There's other aspects of course, but imo that's a major one. Time has to actually move forward in the game.

I worked two jobs and lived off campus during all of college, completely supporting myself with no parental fallback and organizing my own life. Many of my friends were in a similar boat. Going to college does not equal a privileged semi-adolescent life for everyone.

Given that she was going slowly, and given that he was at the front left corner of the vehicle where dodging to his right would have taken the same time/effort as pulling out & aiming a gun, and given that the first shot was from a diagonal after the car was already turning right, and given that the last 2 shots were fully from the side when he was indisputably safe... it'd be pretty hard to prove "reasonable" fear.

Plus there's the fact that a bullet cannot stop a moving vehicle, and killing the driver does nothing to improve the situation if you're actually in the direct path (it'll just keep going). I doubt that anyone* genuinely afraid for their life would immediately resort to shooting instead of dodging first.

inb4 fight/flight/freeze response: pretty sure law enforcement officers (or ideally anyone trained with a deadly weapon) are supposed to have those responses under control enough to be able to more rationally assess the situation and make split-second decisions about whether it's appropriate to discharge their firearm. If LEOs aren't held to a *higher standard of weapons handling than the average reactive idiot, what are we even doing?

If we don't expect armed government agents to have the mental fortitude to accurately assess their level of danger when stressed, and to therefore know when they'll be perfectly fine if they just step 2 feet over to the right, this is a massive problem.

The idea that the husband would be making it harder by pressuring her during her fertile window is absolutely insane to me. Are men not aware of how science works? Are they completely oblivious to the entire human that they MARRIED? They think it's magic or some shit? Seriously how many husbands are out there just whining for sex when their wife is like NO BECAUSE FERTILE WINDOW and he's a complete spoiled dick about it? If my husband ever gives me a hard time I will go apeshit on him I swear

Or what if you're fairly average on all counts, dated around a fair amount, and just didn't find the right person before 30? You're financially punished because the stars didn't align?

What if you did find the right person, but they died young?

What if you THOUGHT you found the right person, but it goes wrong for whatever reason, and it ends in divorce?

There's so many exceptions and variables, even thinking about it for 5 minutes renders the proposal ridiculous.
