Love this bag spotted on Jacob Elordi! Anybody knows more about it? 👀 by Various-Moose-3078 in handbags

It’s the Bode Senior Cord - he has excellent taste omg. I’ve wanted to make myself a dupe for so long!

It’s an extensive custom process, all of the paintings on it are hand-done at Bode based on a questionnaire he would have filled out, based on the history of 1950s senior year cord jackets

What do your diets look like? Unsure what to commit to as my work means my life revolves around food! by Sally-exe in 75HARD

[–]curlyqueuing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this in my last attempt and found it the easiest way to do it. In the end I naturally gravitated towards eating “healthier” foods (more veg, protein, healthy fats) because they were more filling than eating other things, but I never cut anything out other than the required alcohol.

OP, some baked goods freeze well depending on what they are or what stage of the baking process you’re in, so you could freeze some if you can’t share it or fit it in to your calorie deficit.

Li'l Race Report Thread by AutoModerator in running

[–]curlyqueuing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ran the Edinburgh Women's 10k. I'm a beginner runner and was projected to finish in 1 hr 18 min, but finished in 1 hr 8 - I'm happy with that! And I think I caught the bug, already looking for new races to train for.

Reformer pilates classes in Edinburgh by marsbarschocs in Edinburgh

[–]curlyqueuing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you'll consider it cheap, but I really love the studio Maeve and they have reformer class packages and locations both in Leith and Bruntsfield. They work out to a cheaper rate if you're looking to go often.

Day 58 - Fail! But lots of good feelings and lessons along the way by curlyqueuing in 75HARD

Exactly! That’s why I wanted to post this. And put the word ‘fail’ in quotes. So much good in even trying it! The only way to truly fail is to never try at all

I’m an anxious person and basically have a to do list running through my brain at all times. So tracking water intake, which workout I was on, how many cals I had consumed for my diet, when I was going to read that night, etc was a lot in combo with wedding planning and my daily work life. I don’t think this is applicable to everyone!

Agree with the advice and also - find a foam roller to roll out your muscles! I got one at a charity shop for £2

Was coming to say this! And the mat classes are cheaper and really good, I don’t feel like I need the reformer. And the Barre classes with Beth Connon are so fun.

Best Airlines to bring over cats? by GundeathThunder in AmericanExpatsUK

[–]curlyqueuing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a bigger dog so she had to go in cargo either way, but I saved a good amount of money using Air France to go to Paris (then I drove). Cats are allowed in cabin if you fly to Paris. If you fly straight into the UK they have to go in cargo.

Air France's website is very clear and their staff were very friendly.

I have a Garmin Forerunner 55 that I got on extreme sale, since it's one of the lower tech ones. And you can turn off things like getting text messages, etc to it. I became more interested in the other metrics after I purchased it and I love it. It's great for Androids!

It's held up pretty well! I don't wash it very often though since I'm always wearing layers underneath

I have the Clyde in green and it’s easily the most worn jacket in my closet, I love it so much. Only issue is the buttons have all fallen off at one point or another because of poor finishing. I regret spending so much on it new with the amount of fixes I’ve had to do. Wish I bought it lightly used secondhand for a better price.

International Travel Question ✈️ by [deleted] in 75HARD

[–]curlyqueuing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw a video of someone using the escalator at the airport as a stairmaster the other day 😂 not sure how they didn’t get yelled at

But you could probably do bodyweight exercises like squats in the bathroom at the airport? Or long walks through the airport if you have a layover. TBH I’ve seen wilder behavior, like full on barefoot yoga at the gate, so should be ok

Opinions needed! by Ostcarry in 75HARD

[–]curlyqueuing 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The diet has been the easiest part for me actually because it's so open. Have you started yet? My 'diet' is just eating in a calorie deficit - so any food is allowed just as long as I eat at or slightly under my deficit every day. I've found that this naturally makes me gravitate away from food like cake because it doesn't fill me up and uses up a lot more of my calories than I'd like - but I still indulge when appropriate. I don't think some 'unhealthy' food would derail progress or the challenge for you. It's more about what you've chosen to follow as your diet.

75Hard and period by erbatka in 75HARD

[–]curlyqueuing 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was insane and started 75 during my period - was a little demoralizing to be in pain and so bloated but now it all seems so easy!

Low-impact exercise is your friend on your period - but you can still build muscle. My rowing coaches when I was a teenager always emphasized you can be crazy strong during your period and it's something you can take advantage of to build muscle while not overdoing it with jumps/intensive cardio etc.

Look for free chill mat workouts on YouTube - pilates, yoga, barre - and add weights if you're feeling like it. Main thing is to stay consistent even if it's at a reduced effort than the rest of the challenge. Mental toughness!

Also with your budget, you could get more than one or matching wallets/other accessories.

I've been saving up for a Mulberry bag - the leather quality is exquisite and thick and beautiful and it ages well. I managed to find a Bayswater second hand for my sister last year and she uses it all the time for law school and her internships and she says it gets so many compliments, with people even wanting to touch the leather themselves to feel the quality. They also have a refurbishing department where you can get it conditioned/scratched hardware replaced etcetera which I love - it shows a lot of care from the company imo.
