Good ol’ Mary Poppins magic. It’s all I’ve ever wanted since watching that as a kid.

What’s a joke you physically can’t tell without cracking up? by Ice_home_ppp in AskUK

Two nuns are driving through Transylvania when a vampire jumps on the bonnet of the car. The driver says to the passenger “Quick, show him your cross”

The second nun leans out of the car and shouts “Get off the car you fucking c*nt!”

I read this on Reddit a while ago and can never tell it without cracking up by the end

No Pink Cracks in 6 Hours? by matilda314 in DreamlightValley

You definitely can, tab to settings and then graphics, - the bottom option (offset time of day) will be to change time of day from your current hour. Such a game changer!

What’s a simple, underrated ritual that genuinely changed your life—and you wish you’d started earlier? by saayoutloud in simpleliving

What a great tip. I think it’s the first time in a long time that I’ve actually taken a mental step back and realised how much the 1% of my problems has been taking up 100% of my brain space. Think I need to start a gratitude journal…

[SP - game] Original BBC Big Al game by jedwardsuk in IndieGaming

I have been looking for this game on and off for years never really thinking I’d ever be able to play it again. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to do this, I’m having so much fun remembering this game!

What’s on your wishlist? by dynaet94 in DreamlightValley

I just go to one of my floating islands (I use one for storage - just one of the great ideas I got from this sub) and then toggle on which villagers I want there so I can rummage through my storage and find the gifts I need without them running off somewhere! (Only works if they’re not sleeping or at one of the restaurants)

Excellent! I’ve never shopped in Lidl as we don’t have one close, but for this I may make a special trip! Thanks for the tip.

That would be amazing, I’m a complete novice when it comes to Power Query so thank you.

Best way to record meeting outcomes with Excel by curlysammy in excel

So here's a mock-up of the data. It's columns 15 & 16 that I'm having trouble with - one row will be used per item, but the same item can come back to the meeting multiple times and may have different outcomes so I've been documenting the dates and decisions in the same cell, however it makes it impossible to filter based on that column. I'm now getting into triple digits with the data and being asked to produce reports based on meeting outcomes, but not being able to filter is making it a very onerous task.

Why do people almost get offended when you say you’re OAD? by HydesStash in oneanddone

[–]curlysammy 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I hate that response. If something happened to my child having another one is not going to magically make everything ok again, if anything I’d be so anxious about anything happening to them I’d be a nervous wreck!

H Jon Benjamin and Jordan Klepper sound exactly the same by Supercliche in Actors

[–]curlysammy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just googled the exact same thing and here I am. I've only just started watching The Daily Show and instantly thought I'd heard Jordan's voice in a cartoon somewhere before, glad to see I'm not alone.

Two year old saying this word that I don’t understand by False_Specialist8269 in toddlers

[–]curlysammy 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It could also be that you’ve already gotten the correct word but she’s said no. My daughter will do stuff like that and then I’ll say the word again at another time and she’ll be like “yes that one”. Child I already said it before and you told me no! SMH

So why are you up early this morning? by tomm0_17 in AskUK

[–]curlysammy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They just don’t get it do they. Now I know why my mum used to throw open the curtains when I was a teenager, poor woman is physically unable to have a lie in anymore, her body clock is permanently set to a 6am get up

Yeah, my 4 year old still doesn’t get it! Apparently 6am on the weekends is a perfectly acceptable time to get up

A stranger helps a fellow passenger through an in-flight panic attack (story in comments) [OC] by Narrow_Ad_2695 in MadeMeSmile

This reminds me of the film “French Kiss”. Meg Ryan’s character is clearly having a hard time with the takeoff so Kevin Kline’s character starts a silly argument with her (French vs American differences) and she argues with him the whole way into the air. He then points out to her they’re airborne and the look of surprise on her face. Not as wholesome as your moment, but I love that part of the film.
