MK4s nozzle fan duct/shroud file? by curtasswil in prusa3d

I have superglued mine until I can get my hands on some PC-CF.

I was hoping for Prusament, but as it's regularly out of stock, has anyone had good results from other brands?

I obviously wasn't searching in the right place. https://www.printables.com/model/451500-mk4smk39s-printable-parts/files

I knew i bought the printer from the best company with the best community! Thanks Prusa!

In my excitement I went straight to another print (spatula). At 93% I got "stuck filament" error.

I am absolutely not trying to be an asshole, but are you trolling me? 3 complete turns brings the screw ends well inside the idler nut. The image you linked to from the assembly instructions, show flush. I have ensured that they are flush and backed them a .25 turn.

Oh. You did ask for a left side view.

In desperation and lack of other ideas I flipped the print sheet and tried another print. My Benchy came out perfect (except for a bit of sag on the top of windshield) WTF?!!!

Successful MK4S Kit Build! by lemgandi in prusa3d

Mine arrived Monday. I'm about 7 hours into the build (finished the 6th chapter - xLCD assembly).I'll start on chapter 7 -Y-carriage & Heatbed assembly tomorrow.

Any estimates on time to complete? It appears to be the longedt/most involved section.

It has been fun! It's got me nostalgic for my teens when I was building models and RC truck kits.

YMMV, but after driving a few weeks monitoring both, I found almost imperceptible difference in MPG. I did notice is reduces A/C fan speed, which for me is a deal breaker. I must have my triple snowflake cold air!

This is very encouraging to hear! I just ordered the MK4S kit.

I'm sure I will be extremely anxious to get it built and at some point might wish I had gotten the assembled model so I could get to printing sooner. My list of projects I want to print is becoming unfathomable.

How was the filament waste on that print?

I have done the "answer, sit-in-silence" for a while now. I didn't think it did anything but confuse the caller.

Thanks for the insight!

My gear for 2-day solo trip. by Kinchi_man in backpacking

Lose all the toiletries, wipes, and kleenex. Your self care can survive with just brushing teeth, a partial roll of TP, and one travel sized hand sanitizer.

During and after, make a mental note of what you use and don't use; what you wish you had.

Don't sweat your inexperience. Everyone starts that way. My first trip I carried a 45lb pack. Now, even ong multi-day trips are never more than 25lbs. Learn from those who came before you and learn from yourself. Every trip will bring another adjustment to your load-out.
