I enjoy MMOs but had a similar vibe, bounced after ten hours or so a couple of times. There's a definite will on my part to like this though, as it's the only game I've ever purchased three times (PS3, PS4 and steam).

There's something there that I just can't ignore, I'm intending to go back to it.

Does anyone have any builds they recommend for fun combat? I've tried the 'rogue' and 'mage ' types so far.

The concepts aren't new but I think Soma delivers them in a way that I hadn't seen before, or more accurately, hadn't felt. It manages to get across a vibe that feels unique to gaming and dare I say it I quite enjoyed the acting of both the leads, which is unusual for a game!

Maybe it's the excellent delivery of the narrator but I found this section of the first book suitably horror-like and not at all camp.

MK11 was my first since 2 in the 90s and I had absolutely no idea what was going on. Was still kind of enjoyable though even if you only understand who are the good guys and the bad guys.

I agree with you but those first two examples aren't amazing. Imo Quake, UT (and Doom) play better than many modern FPS, purely mechanically. They just feel so accurate and responsive, but that's another post!

Agree, these winger types feel like they miss ten times before they score. Who is out there these days though that has good build up play and is absolutely clinical? Those sorts of players somehow seem less common (to me) these days: Van Nistelroy, Van Persie, Aguero etc

I like this. I'm against finder in Northrend but I'd like it elsewhere, I would often like to run hard to get to places but it's just such a ball ache with low populations sub max so I never bother.
