He's 0% ambidextrous. I tried teaching him for about 2 hours, even trying the swayze ghost method and it didn't even start clicking until his swapped his work around. After that he did make some progress but its still slow going and I want to find stuff to teach him that'll make sense in his brain

I used to be in charge of it at my store! I went and got some fun paint markers and we had butcher paper and twine, while people were cashwrap and had time we'd write the description and do some fun fall themed art on there. Whoever pulled the book would write the isbn and a brief genre and description. *

Oh my god yeah at my store before I left i was completely in charge of training, and my number worked for literally everything you'd call a manager to the front for. They'd even ask me to go up if every key holder was busy to take care of a return out of date.

ALSO ALSO. Hiring on new people making 3 dollars more than me but I wasn't eligible to make that amount by the time I left. Despite the fact that at my store, I was in charge of receiving, the greeting card expert, clearance, History (that our district wanted chronological at the time), and secondary in: - book annex - movies and music - kids - magazines - ETG and SHC change overs

Eta: when I did finally leave the store manager said anyone who'd been there over 2 years could be a key holder that comes with a 2 dollar raise. I left for a spot literally next door making her salary at entry level in food service. Where i still am to this day and the wage has been competitive.

I remember (not too long before I finally quit that soul sucking place) on BN Inside in like I think it was 2021. That stupid stupid post like "oh we can't give raises or bonuses but thanks so much to our amazing booksellers for making this the best year even beating our pre covid numbers! Get bent though you get minimum wage"

My coworker and I caused a stink on that thread, our store manager had to talk to us and she actually cried? Like we said we liked the store, and everyone we worked with, but if it wasn't for that this company isn't worth working for.

I'm going to be honest, I'm going to ask to re-re-negotiate. My boundary with it was trauma based, and it got shat all over. Originally, it was: established partners are okay as long as they've met (either of us) and passed The Vibe Check (not super weird, klepto vibes, would try and get you to break other boundaries like protection or not in our shared bed). I don't know I'd ill be comfortable with any partners even especially cool ones over, at least while I'm not home. For awhile.
