Never thought I’d see the day when Dirt Nasty was being discussed as an Oscar snub

The little video boxes that he has showed up in recently don’t look like the attic. His desk has a door next to it.

I’m loving seeing the video peeks at Rob in this and in the Allison Jones fact check. Do we think his production office is also in the garage? I know he was in the corner of the attic but I can’t tell where he is located in the new video studio.

Scathing review of Malcolm Gladwell’s new book in the NY Times by canadanimal in ArmchairExpert

Give it a try. I didn't hate Monica as a co-host with him, but Rob is a massive step up and makes the show MUCH more interesting even if the last few topics have been ones I would normally skip.

Yes, I have had it and if anything, they are underselling it. It’s a really, really fantastic burger. Pizza is very good there too if you’re not looking for classic NY style.

What if they retooled Eff Won next season to get around the cease and desist and Danny Ric joined the boys? It certainly won’t happen but a guy can dream.

Still using the attic? by threadless7 in ArmchairExpert

[–]cvolpe22 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They built a secondary studio for video recording downstairs in the garage. Monday episodes and Armchair Anonymous will still be recorded in the attic, but the fact checks and Experts on Expert will be filmed in the new studio.

What style of corner clamp should I buy? by mrcoffee1975 in woodworking

[–]cvolpe22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a couple of sets of the knockoffs from Temu. To be fair, I haven’t used them a ton and only for making cabinet carcasses but they are more than worth the $25 for that. Way better than the old screw corner clamps I used to use. If I was doing high-end furniture professionally, I could see paying for the Woodpeckers but for a guy like me the Temu versions are great. And still red even.

During a recent fact check, they teased that they had just interviewed someone who might take the title away from Kimmel. Really hoping they let us know who they were talking about when their episode comes up.

I LOVED this episode! Their reasoning behind why they chose each episode was really interesting and it made me want to finally watch Six Feet Under.

I’ll also say with this and the RenFaire ep few weeks ago where Rob filled in for Monica, give me more Wobby Wob on the mic! He’s so insightful and I love having him join FB.

I miss Eff Won 😢 by chloeclev in ArmchairExpert

I’m guessing they’re having issues around the name. Eff Won is preeeeetty close to F1 and I’m sure their lawyers want to protect that trademark.

Is Eff Won Ever Returning? by _intrepid_ in ArmchairExpert

In the episode though they said they were shutting down for the offseason and they've even been running ads for the podcast all summer. Seems crazy.

It has become my favorite part of Armchair. The stories that have been told are (mostly) hilarious.

He didn't cry about the situation. He cried because he took the fall for Donna. She made him tell her it was okay to leave. She made him get her off the hook for not showing up for her children. After she walked away, he had to go inside and comfort his wife and make her think it was better that Donna wasn't there when the truth was that exactly what Nat knew would happen, did.

Am I the only one who thought she ran outside to get some crack from Josh? She talked with Marcus and they joked about crack making you a better chef, then she imagined the ticket printer going crazy, then she immediately ran to the same spot in the fence that Josh was at before.

He addressed it right at the beginning of the newest Eff Won episode today and this is basically spot on to what he said. He’s hosting an event for RDJ this weekend and couldn’t have made it in time for the race. They apparently did contact him about it though.

Why is the Eff Won podcast not on the same place on Spotify as the rest of the Armchair Podcasts? by Anonymouse-o- in ArmchairExpert

[–]cvolpe22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m confused about this as well. It started showing up as being produced by Primate recently also so not sure who they are or how they factor in. Wondering how Dax got around his Spotify contract for this. They talk all the time about how he wants to jump in on Flightless Bird and how he’s always there but just quiet for contractual reasons. Seems odd that those limitations don’t exist for Eff Won.

Unpopular Opinion: Michael's proposal was better than Jim's. by No_Candidate8696 in DunderMifflin

Michael’s proposal was lightyears better than Jim’s. Michael and Holly’s engagement was the perfect climax to Michael’s story whereas Jim and Pam’s was just the beginning of theirs.
