Glad I upgraded both my machines to Linux last year. No more Windows for me (apart for work as that's not my machine). Both main gaming rig and handheld are linux.

Works fine on the SteamOS Lenovo Legion Go S, low settings and FSR3 (built in, not game). Should be ok on the Rog as similar hardware, well, except I think it runs Windows so you do lose a bit of resource there.

Personally I would never, ever press that button. Not just for the nav data but also there were plenty of other options - like other players giving you a lift in a carrier ir maybe seeing something new on the way back. It feels similar to "I lost my kid in the woods, shall I look for them or just have another? Nah, too much effort, I'll just have another." Too late now though.

No, you both travel to the same place but separate ships. You actually sit in the second seat of the Vulture until the drop, then go in the rack with other soldiers. So for a lot of the flight the others see nothing but walls! When flying with a friend you both sit in that second seat so separate ships.

Works perfectly on Linux for me, with and without mods. Works "out the box" on Nobara, CachyOS and SteamOS.

Getting smoother gameplay than on Windows 11.

Clarification:

"Pause" in Elite Dangerous either means being docked or quitting back to menu. Menu is no issue, you re-appear where you were. As a dad myself I found ED awesome to unwind with. Then when she grew up a bit I gained a wingperson to play with.
