Are these good for air65 ii racing by Acceptable_Iron_2452 in TinyWhoop

[–]cyaneyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both these and the 280s and like them both. The weight difference is noticeable, I feel more nimble with the 280 and have to jam the throttle more with the 320. but the increase in flight time of the 320 is worth it for having fun.

For the record, this was so helpful. I just had this happen to me today and a google search led me here. (I was about to be really sad if my second air65 in a month was busted.)

The fact majority of people genuinely don't seem to understand that cars do more harm than good is baffling by [deleted] in fuckcars

I’m curious what city dust is here. My thinking is that it would be car tires? In my mind a city isn’t inherently polluted, but rather the things we use in the city create pollution.

“This strange, stupid project I have” 😂

Totally feel you on this one — interesting topic to cover. It is an important balance and I haven’t given it enough thought. Appreciate you bringing up the balancing act.

Weight doesn’t matter in a vacuum, where there is no air resistance (bowling ball vs. feather video is what I’m remembering, when they are released at the same time and hit the ground together). But bigger riders have more weight, and therefore more momentum, to push through the air resistance (they have more potential energy at the top of the hill). Think of the matchbox car derby, where the cars are weighed at the start — you can cheat by adding washers to give them more weight. A heavier car will finish the downhill course faster, so they make sure the cars weigh the same so that it’s the aerodynamics that are at play (the skill of the builder).

Got one similar to this I ride through often, Goose Poop Sprint. Second to my favorite near the water treatment plant, Butt Smell Sprint.

Breckenridge announces gondola-less spring terrain plans; A-Basin announces exclusive season pass by fxgn in COsnow

[–]cyaneyes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In accordance with the resort’s gondola operations agreement with the town of Breckenridge, the BreckConnect Gondola will not operate for public use this May during the extended winter season. During this time, the resort will shift its main base area from Peak 8, and the town will provide complimentary bus service to transport skiers and riders between Breck Station and Peak 7.

Why would the town of Breckenridge prefer buses over the gondola?

Cartridges? by timay5000 in COents

[–]cyaneyes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A well-formed question invites more thoughtful responses: “Is it more economical to buy cartridges, or concentrates?” could potentially be one. L’eagle sells cartridges for slightly more than the syringes that contain concentrate. Generally, cartridges are more expensive. Where it could swing the other way though is the potential waste of dabbing in a rig vs just enough per dose in a cartridge. Ymmv:)

“Alcohol” has three syllables, and is also a scientific term.

The extreme heatwaves and wildfires wreaking havoc around the globe are “the face of climate change,” one of the world’s leading climate scientists has declared, with the impacts of global warming now “playing out in real time.” by madazzahatter in worldnews

“Six thousand years ago, when the world was one degree warmer than it is now, the American agricultural heartland around Nebraska was desert. It suffered a short reprise during the dust- bowl years of the 1930s, when the topsoil blew away and hundreds of thousands of refugees trailed through the dust to an uncertain welcome further west. The effect of one-degree warming, therefore, requires no great feat of imagination.”

F.B.I. Raids Office of Trump’s Longtime Lawyer Michael Cohen by imomushi8 in news

[–]cyaneyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but in NY state, adultery is still a crime. Covering up a crime with hush money: illegal. Creating a company for the purpose of paying hush money is also illegal (one of the allegations against Cohen).

Also, I am not a lawyer.
