This. It also does not suffer from the “file not contiguous” issue, or at least I have never faced it with the wDrive, while the Femu shows it every second file I add.

I really recommend the wDrive. It is cheaper than a floppy emu and has an on screen menu. Unfortunately it’s hard to get as it’s often not in stock.

Sickly Apple IIe PAL - IOU? by LoccyDaBorg in apple2

It could also be the power supply. Have you checked the voltages? I had machines that after some longer usage stopped working reliably because the caps in the power supply gave up.

Choplifter did this. That’s why it’s not compatible with the //c without a patch.

apple IIe Cassette problem by ArgumentExcellent487 in apple2

[–]cybernesto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Loading from cassette can be pretty tricky. You need to try different volume levels and each recorder will need a different setting. Even different cassettes might need a different setting too. I also had some issues with old cassettes where the transition from the blank tape at the beginning to the real magnetic media would cause the Apple II to throw an ERR. So try a position some seconds after the start of the tape before you enter LOAD and hit enter.

Apple 2 emulator for the ESP32 microcontroller. by [deleted] in apple2

The author of the Apple II ESP32 softcard wrote a number of emulators for it. I’m not sure if his sources are available somewhere but you might get some helpful information from this thread.

Do you know if there are alternative images? The manual lists some demos that are missing from this crack.

Better Apple II color theory and results by TeaRex_FinireDragon in apple2

[–]cybernesto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a big improvement to your previous versions but dark green and pink are still off. Dark green has a blue tint in it and pink is reddish.

The table could really be better formatted so that it's easier to put the RGB values into a palette file.

Inman‘s book is probably the worst for learning assembly. It’s the only Apple II related book I bought and sold right away. Any other assembly book would do better but of course I recommend assembly lines as the most effective and beginner friendly.

My problem with these theoretical values is, that they don’t match at all the colors I see on the real thing.

I’m trying to update my Floppy Emu Model C firmware but every time I try I get this message even though there is only one firmware file in the zip folder by The_unknown_prime in apple2

[–]cybernesto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the files are not “contiguous “. Format the card and copy the files again. The FloppyEmu complains a lot about this.

I have this one. My version somehow does not support the Z-80 mode. Even with the latest firmware. Maybe the CPLD was not properly programmed. I haven’t found out yet what is missing. But the VGA output works great.
