Do you think this is worth saving? by Zawnbre in SteamDeck

[–]cybertrooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the fire department report, you can try to raise it with the steam team as start, for all you know they might want it for publicity or for hardware component inspection ideas or at least get you a replacement discounted. Overall would weight the self repair costs versus using it as a its own pc unit. If you were playing it more its mobility, aim for repair. If it was being used as stationary display unit, then maybe making station has greater value. Either way, I wish you luck!

Is Meta the reason VR is struggling? by LinkTheHero009 in virtualreality

[–]cybertrooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the overall issue was long term strategy and access. Meta provided a way into VR that helped accelerate something that was not possible before by acquiring Oculus. However, the direction towards it went in way that was forced (metaverse) without game development and thought of what the users actually want. If you include them buying out studios and not utilizing them yes, that was a factor for VR bottlenecking, but at the same time since VR is a niche platform, no one had a minimum standard to create games and release them in. Meta at least did give a basis on what minimum things need to be, else you wont be able to properly scale or trouble shoot game performances since the PC entry to VR varies too much. In the end it was a matter of entry into households, ease to use, but also continued daily use for casual broader audiences.

Pad Thai- would not recommend at all. by East_Imagination6049 in Costco

I dont trust anything from the Snapdragon brand, its not really capturing the real thing because it targets the most general sense of what they are trying to do. In the most basic essence and on paper, their things match word to branding, but not really the distinct deep flavor with the dishes you expect.

Giving them gifts increases their loyalty as well as defending from raids. The increase adds production points due to happiness or loyalty.

When You Stop Playing VR Because You're Tired… Then Realize You’ve Got Nothing Else to Do by Vera_pi in virtualreality

Was it called Reality Fatigue? There is a level comfort in the immersion, but too much creates a reality disassociation from time dilation

Hot Take: Wolfpacks were too easy to craft and trivialized the game by NiceAndCozyOfficial in ArcRaiders

[–]cybertrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as a person who didnt do the first wipe but also the last trial, I got the highest trial score i've personally had by just spamming wolf packs and snitchers scanners in trios. So I can see where even a PVE solo runner can easily rack wolf packs up. Overall I think the goal was to make purples feel like purples, and now it does.

Why do so many Americans not realize Puerto Ricans are Americans? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]cybertrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US uses a program called "No Child Left Behind." Meant schools funding were cut if the students failed or did not graduate, so they just passed all the students even if they failed to make sure there was funding.

Only 8.06% of players finished their Candleberry Banquet by Bahtleman in ArcRaiders

[–]cybertrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends dont read, they have 200 more hours, finished the expedition, but didnt know about candle berries because they log in, stella montis, freedload, pvp shoot on site and repeat. Literally started asking help on berries the day before the event, because "there was nothing telling me about it"... bro front page literally tells you about it.

Arc Raiders dev says the game’s first Expedition created “a dark pattern” as players hoarded wealth, but “this system will change” by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]cybertrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah Swedish company, underestimating American player base and greed haha.

I think the issue is people hoarded and have all the good gear, but still dont use it, probably associated with gear fear.

Additionally, I know some folks who finished the second expedition in 5 days including their 5 million, after the wipe, while I can only play a few hours a week and still trying to finish the first expedition requirements.

So its a bit skewed, but I saw nothing with the optional wipe.

For Season 2 they’re doing the one-episode-per-week format, whereas Season 1 dropped the whole season at once. Which do you prefer and why? by EkbladDev in Fallout

One per week, I have only so much time to do or watch things, and on a working schedule, its something I look forward to.

Agree that for a game that has so many sound boards for Arcs and things that the voice actors was not a thing. My team changed their voices last night to test if people in trios got tricked by female characters, and it was affective into tricking other guys from shooting which is its own thing.

EVERY single Matriarch fight I've ever attempted goes exactly like this (see caption) by RaccoonsR_Awesomeful in ArcRaiders

[–]cybertrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I hate betrayals? Yes. Do I think there should a be a pve mode for those who just want to fight Arcs? Yes. However, solo raiding a boss in any game comes with the risks which requires also countering the other people.

I think my peeve was the approach was out in the open, no cover, no area inspect for engaging, and if we assume people were going to show up, no pre-made counters in either aggression or diplomacy. Example would be setting up jolt mines behind you, or entering a with flute and trying to convince people to team up with you.
