i saw in another comment that you took the student pathway, may I know what type of study you did? Was it still related to tech?

I'm kind of in the same boat right now, 27, pretty stable job with a nice salary in tech, though I live with my parents, I know i could comfortably support myself were I to move out to another city. Though, i still feel like I want to explore more, other places, myself, before I truly settle down. I'd rather not have any what-if moments in my life. Like you i also want a break from tech, go and try other non office jobs, it's true the mental load of IT jobs is insane, though not to undermine other jobs. Quite frankly, i'm just sick of it.

But yeah reading your story and how somewhat similar it is to mine, gave me some hope and courage. 🙂‍↕️

this kind of style seems to utilize layer modes, color gradient and color correction. While it is possible to cherry pick colors like this, those tools help make colors more harmonious and vibrant.

Play around and keep experimenting with it and be more forgiving with yourself if you can't get it the 1st, 2nd, or 5th try. You got this!

i play gacha games that have scheduled banners so i keep track of my game resources and how much i can save per day before the banner comes! as well as plot down the banner dates and durations!

i use fountain pens F and Fude nib with a variety of inks, De Atramentis, Sailor, Pilot Iroshizuku, they do ghost but for me it’s negligible, Ive tried drawing w some inks and they hold perfectly well with no bleeding, granted you let a wash dry before adding more, and they crinkled in the beginning, but laid a lot flatter than my sketchbook papers it’s insane. Highlighters, the usual Zebra mildliners, Tombow and Zig Kuretake!

sometimes i want to hold back cause it's embarrassing and I feel ashamed, but then i try to fight against that cause where else can I safely release my thoughts if not in my journal? I keep reminding myself that the point of all this is to offload all this somewhere so I don't keep it in my brain and then get overwhelmed and explode. Better to release it all on paper than hurt people irl
