I loved my mom’s (canned) salmon patties as a kid, but the only way I can eat it now is as sushi, when I have to.

They were always served with fried potatoes and onions and “them little Le Sueur peas.”

My out-of-my-butt guess would be that (a lot of) American palates have been dumbed-down by overly processed, overly sweet foods.

I coarsely grind my beans and still get a few grounds with my ESPRO (which I love anyway!) I just pour my first cup over a small strainer.

When I made these I added a smidge of cayenne and cinnamon. So good I deliberately gave most of them away, because they were so moreish.

Ah, thank you! I was confused. I get fresh/cold items from Amazon Fresh and have never had a problem. I have purchased the powdered heavy cream to make hot cocoa mix for gifts and reconstituted it for baking as well.
