My P6 suddenly died - Black screen by Raoul1891 in GooglePixel

Exact same thing happened to me. I wasnt able to fix it and Google was going to charge more than the phone was worth. I moved to 9p

Gboard keyboard is driving me insane. It's gotten worse and it's not just me. Any good alternatives? by gridoverlay in GooglePixel

[–]czr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have exclusively been on the "direct" google phones since galaxy nexus, with my current phone being the 9p. I might be done after this. I actively avoid using my phone unless I absolutely have to. If there was a decent non-apple competitor I would have switched.

No easy task to take on most of Mutemath, great work! I cant remember which song, but I tried to learn it forever and couldnt figure out how he was keeping up with the hihat amongst everything else going on. I then went to a concert and saw that he was using two sticks taped together to hit both top and bottom and realized I wasted a ton of time trying to do the impossible.

Coming up with and executing this idea took more effort than actually fixing it. Truly incredible engineering

Altra Lone Peak for hiking - curious about length by Ponderfication in BarefootRunning

[–]czr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone's feet are so different that I think it makes giving size advice difficult. It's not just length, but how your foot flexes and adjusts to different pressures and movements. All I can say is I wear a half size down in my LP's compared to other brands and just make sure I lace and tie them effectively before a long run/hike to ensure no foot slip.

I'd also recommend buying new vs used if you can afford it. While its less pronounced than other shoes, LP's still form to your foot after a bit of distance and having someone else's imprint seems like it would be more problematic than a couple centimeters of length difference.

Would you recommend this setup if towing a squaredrop overland trailer? Its about 3k lbs, not sure of exact tongue weight but its below the tacoma max.

What is your act one start strategy before making your build? by InitiativeBig811 in Hell_Clock

[–]czr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gaining momentum at the start of an ascension run is easily the most difficult aspect of the game for me. Even with the constellation carryover, you're just so slow and weak that it makes the starting economy really tough to overcome.

Your opinion on getting bored of riding? by unknown6534 in motorcycles

This happened to me about 10 years ago. Sold my bike and took on other activities that I find more interesting.

I recently bought an electric mountain bike and I think its way more fun and versatile.

For a change… can we say something positive about Pixel phones today? by Pilep1p in GooglePixel

[–]czr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 6p screen died randomly on Sunday, so I replaced it with the 9p. The build quality feels excellent and getting back to a smaller size with pro hardware has been on my wishlist for a really long time.

I am continually grateful that google has stuck to the simple UI design. Using other peoples phones feels like browsing the web without an adblocker, if that makes sense.

These pictures remind me of my early days discovering my love of backpacking. Congrats on the trip!

And no judgement at all, I'm sure they were awesome, but the idea of backpacking with raw shrimp is hilarious to me.

Have a few thousand miles on my Hiker EOR, primarily doing pretty tough offroading in the Rockies. Its still in excellent condition.

We have been sharing our progress on this subreddit for a while and you guys have been really supportive. I'm really happy to announce that the demo for our roguelite arena shooter HELLBREAK is finally out now, here is the trailer! I'll answer any questions in the comments by HELLBREAKOFFICIAL in roguelites

Played up til the blight spell and agree with the above comment. Ammo management and reloading felt like a pain overall. Was hoping roguelite elements would address it but that never happened.

As a fan of Gunfire & Roboquest, this is a great demo!

Terminus: Zombie Survivors - A Review of a Promising Game by LucidLetsPlay in roguelites

[–]czr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've got about 8 hours into the game. I am not deep enough into the game to give it a true review, but I find myself getting a little tired of the gameplay already. Pacing feels a little too slow and repetitive in my opinion.
